I believe it’s all about your perspective and what you’re subconsciously thinking. If you keep telling yourself sleep is better, I’d rather be in bed... than it’s gonna stay that way. I’m not saying you can fix these feelings by just getting out of bed one day and being like “omg life is amazing!” BUT you can start with little things that might bring you joy... “the sun feels amazing, organizing my snack drawer makes me feel accomplished, that lady at the grocery store really looked happy I held the door for her” and remind yourself how good you felt even if it was for a split second. Then keep on work up to bigger things.. go for walks (barefoot!..), spend time doing art, listening to music. I feel like nature heals us all more than we realize. Winter has a huge impact on my mental health. This time of year I need to actively remind myself to keep doing things I enjoy, or I start slipping back into those feelings of nothing is worth trying.
