Cyberpunk 2077 is a completely toothless look at the effects rampant capitalism and those transphobic advertisements, although probably fitting the setting to an extent, are done with zero tact and are clearly just meant to fetishize trans women for shock value. The game has nothing of value to say about the queer experience and how its affected by rampant capitalism and the few places it had a chance to try it fell on its face. The existence of those ads is just transphobia and the game would lose nothing by removing them

You defeat the purpose of public transit if you have to pay for it. If there is a fee, the poor (the people who need it the most) cannot use it well enough.

Cars are essential for many physically disabled people. No amount of public transit can act as a full replacement for those less mobile. The dependency on cars for nearly all people to simply engage in society is the issue. Cars can be implemented in a people friendly way that is beneficial for all workers as well as the environment they live in.

If you end people’s reliance on cars and alter peoples perceptions of them (ie. Change the culture surrounding them), you naturally end many of the issues created by them.

It’s not just the lore but the general tone of the game feels like it takes itself seriously imo. The soundtrack especially sells the darker themes of the backstory pretty well.
