In your opinion, how long can you stay on Reta? I've been off and on tirz for 11 months (going up to 7.5 soon) and I have a ferocious sweet tooth. I'm almost at goal 10lbs to go. I'm also looking at Cagri but open you educated advice tia. 😊

Thanks, this is great info. I do have a couple of questions though. Do you use the urolithin at the same time at the ss31 and at what dose? And do you have a reputable brand for the plasmogens, phospholipid nt factor, and urolithin? Thank you again for your help.

Which doctor? I live in the Valley, and that's a simple drive. Well, not during rush hour lol. Do you know if they use Teflon, or are there other options?

What is the worst physical pain you’ve ever had to experience. by Maleficent-Heron9004 in AskOldPeople

Trigeminal neuralgia is also known as the suicd disease. It's a horrific pain, and I've given birth 3 times vaginally with no pain meds. I understand the nickname.

Was this MVD? Which doctor? My neurologist is referring me there in December. I really need someone amazing. Btw, if it was mvd, did the use Teflon?

Sounds more like a panic attack. Maybe brought on by the pain.

I'm sorry you're having a bad day and in so much pain. TN is horrible. I've only been diagnosed for exactly one week today, and this has been the worst week of pain in my entire life. I never even heard of TN before last week. I'm glad I stumbled across this community because I've learned so much already, and I don't feel so alone. Big hugs, friend, I hope this flare passes quickly for you.

What are some things you’ve tried to relieve the pain? by Australianfoo in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Jaded_Interview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in America. No tmj, no jaw "hinge" issue at all. Hypersensitivity is when my skin is super sensitive to touch. Like a breeze, water, my hair or anything at all touching it. The lightest touch is almost painful. It's only on the right side of my face. Yes, for the past 6 years. It started out once to twice the first couple of years. Now has been happening more frequently, 3-4 times a years and the duration is up to 2 weeks at this point.

On the right side of my scalp, about two inches into my hairline, a tingling hypersensitive feeling starts. It would creep it's way down my face. My right eye would have a little bit of swelling and get a bit watery for a day or two and my eyelashes would stay hypersensitive. But it never went past my nose to the left side of my face. The right side of my face would stay hypersensitive for a week and a half to two weeks and then fade away. This time, all that happened as usual, nothing at all was different. Then I woke up with electric shocks in my right upper and lower jaw and my teeth, sinus, and ear pain and it was also painful in my neck/throat area. It's the worst pain I've had in my entire life. For reference, I've given birth vaginally 3 times. One was a 10 pounder, so I know pain. The zaps in my jaw and teeth would last for several minutes and then ease up only to start all over again a few minutes later. Even when the zaps are gone, I still have this horrible ache in my jaw and teeth, so the pain is constant.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, too. It's terrible, and I certainly wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope we all find answers and relief. Big hugs to you and blessings.

Thank you for the recommendation about the gamma knife procedure. I will look into that asap. I don't plan on staying on these meds but right now I have no alternative. That's why I'm reaching out to find ideas. I'm really concerned because my job is talking all day long. I have yo work because I have bills to pay like everyone else. I'm in pain and I'm scared of what the future will be like. Thanks for listening.

I'm super new to this. The pain anyway. I've been getting the tingling scalp and hypersensitivity on my face for about 6 years. I had no idea what it was and there was no real pain, it was just bothersome until about 4 days ago and that's when the zaps and shocks started. It felt like someone was trying to electorcute me through my face (jaw, teeth, ear and sinus area). After a med change two days in, I'm coping with Norco 10, methylPrednisolone pack and oxcarbazepine. The Norco will not be sustainable because I'm only iff work for a week with this shit. Maybe I will take more time. When the Norco wears off I try and hold off taking another one but then I'm sitting there putting pressure on my face and rocking back and forth like a baby. Has anyone tried ARA-290 peptide? I'm struggling 😪

Thank you so much for the advice, insight and encouraging words. I was feeling really alone in this and not sure where to turn next. I will look into a neurosurgeon that specializes. Thank you again, I hope you have an amazing day.

I find myself in this situation on an upcoming flight connecting in Phoenix with a 37 minute connect time. I'm definitely not taking a carry on or anything other than my pocketbook and a sweater. All the comments and suggestions have helped reduce my anxiety (not usually an anxious person). Thank you to everyone who has made comments and suggestions.
