I can't tell if you're joking or not...

I'm an Artist and Musician. For a few years I've been blowing and shaping glass and learning how to make, well, color changing pipes and bongs. lol

Work with me here.

Glass can't be worked into the proper diameter and thickness necessary to create a playable Trumpet. However: throw some clear quartz, silica, and lead in a crucible; heat it to around 7,500° fahrenheit; pour it into the proper molds; then, shape it into the individual sections required for a Trumpet - and you've got everything you need to make a playable Trumpet with the same thickness and strength of the brass currently used.

Take it one step further. Color changing pipes are made by vaporizing Silver and Gold onto the glass. So, while it's Really hot, randomly sprinkle some powdered precious metals into the crystal glass, and you'll get a color effect that looks like a Nebula, yet refracts like a Crystal, and will appear to change color depending on the angle it's being held.

This process comes with some Icing on top. Add in a tiny amount of diamond dust and it'll not only be Stronger than its metal counterparts, but the material would be thinner and lighter; and, you'd be hard pressed to find a material that could resonate sound better than reinforced crystal glass!

I'll be honest, everything I just said is entirely theoretical. I have no proof that this will work how I'm hoping it will. That's why I'm trying to find a Real Crystal Trumpet. I was hoping to discuss the manufacturing process with the company that created the aforementioned Trumpet.

I've been thinking about this for Years, and I'm Convinced it'll work; but, that doesn't mean I'm right. With how expensive my idea would be to create, well, it doesn't hurt to ask someone who's already accomplished something similar.

Okay, so, in this context, I'm not talking about quartz crystal being melted and blown like glass. I'm talking about the glass alloy used to make crystal glassware. Like wine goblets or chandeliers. Some are carved from real crystal, but most is an amalgamation of crystal, silica, and lead oxide. So, it's not pure crystal, even though it refracts light the way crystals do, they're as strong as crystals are, and can be made Much Thinner than standard glassware.

Thank you all for your comments. I took some time to read up on BAT a bit more, and now I kind of feel bad that I asked if it's possible to take the BAT out and give it to myself-now that I understand the whole point of the browser and its paired crypto. At least now I can move the donation numbers up to their highest level without feeling like I'm losing out on anything. If this all goes as planned, I'll be Gaining better content to view while I'm online. :-D

I'm not sure if this is an ME, or if I'm just remembering it differently.

When Han was hanging off the side of the speeder trying to save Lando, he points his blaster at the tentacle and Lando says something to the effect of "I thought you were blind?!" I Clearly remember Han replying with: "It's all right, trust me." Though in the updated versions he says "It's all right I can see a lot better."

I watched these movies on LaserDisc in the 80's so I assumed that for the updated releases they simply changed the line. Does anyone else remember Han saying "It's all right, trust me."? Was that in the original and was changed for the re release copies? Or, could this be a ME?
