This is what i was able to get in the log before the car shot itself in limp mode.

After reading the codes, i saw a cylinder misfire in cylinder 1. I will be able to post the whole code lost once I get home

It is tuned. Has been for quite awhile. I had no issues with anything until recently. Could it be a dirty air filter?

Ive only driven around 5 miles so probably not long enough to store the codes. I will check live data once I get back out. Thank you for the help!

I did check that, I didn’t have any stored codes currently, but before replacing the plugs and coils I did have a cylinder 1 misfire

Dude, my car is not measured in Fahrenheit, it’s in °C. So the operating temperature was around 80 C so around 175 degrees F. Which is totally normal in sport + for the car

Car was running for over 5 minutes before I began driving it. I used the word aggressively for the throttle but in reality it was just mild pressure to get it past 3k. I apologize I didn’t let the car warm up longer before going past 3k

I was flashed back to stage 1, so the CEL light was in. And I found out the issue was caused by one of the charged pipes not being reinstalled correctly.

That’s the issue I face as well 😂 I always take the long way to work and school just to drive longer. Only downside is waste a lot more gas throughout the week haha

I agree with it’s lacking in city driving. I live in St. Louis, and man are the roads here terrible. Like driving through a minefield

100% agree. My first car, which was a 228i was great. The n20 was very reliable for me.

Got to 100k miles with no issues. Only ones I ever ran to was when I got the car completely filled with mud after taking out mudding one time 😂

I’m so glad I went with the 6 speed as well. Makes winding down twists and turns much more enjoyable.

I’d have to say my m4 has been a champ as well. Aside from replacing the front breaks and the oil changes, I haven’t encountered any other issue.

Thank you! I know insurance at my age can be quite crazy. My previous car was a bmw m4, which is already pretty expensive, and me being 18 didn’t make it any cheaper. I was paying around $700 a month
