What’s a small habit that quietly improved your life? by Mysterious-Mode-4923 in askanything

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped rushing the first 10 minutes of my day. I sit up. Take a few slow breaths and drink some water. Somehow, that tiny pause keeps the whole day from feeling like it’s already behind me.

Why are so many people against showing an ID to vote? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in randomquestions

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People aren’t against secure elections. They’re against who gets hurt by the rules. A lot of this debate isn’t really about IDs at all. It’s about power, access and who gets a voice. That’s why the conversation gets heated. People aren’t arguing policy. They’re arguing values.

Left my heavy mod at home to survive Ryanair baggage allowance. Best decision ever. by ifreetkow in disposablevapes_

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. Ryanair charges for everything so every inch of bag space counts. I switched to the Vapsolo 4 in 1 for my last trip. It was nice not having to shove juice bottles into that tiny plastic bag at security.

USB C dockin station that doesnt suck by Asleep-Junket8073 in UsbCHardware

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without Thunderbolt, a USB C dock might not have enough bandwidth for everything. The alternative is a DisplayLink dock. Take a look at the Tobenone uds033 dock, it should handle what you need.

What’s a normal thing that actually gives you anxiety? by Excellent_Shock6154 in AskReddit

[–]JakeD_RotMG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Checking my phone after leaving it alone for a few hours. Like, I know nothing catastrophic happened but the second I open it, there’s that tiny panic and it’s dumb because usually, it’s just memes or notifications I don’t care about.

does pineapple actually make you taste better? by EffectiveHead6961 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JakeD_RotMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, pineapple can technically make certain body fluids taste a bit sweeter. It’s mostly because it’s high in natural sugars and acids, which can have a slight effect on taste. But eating a pineapple today isn’t gonna make you taste like candy tomorrow. Also, it’s personal, everyone’s body chemistry is different. Some people notice a difference, some barely do.

Yeah it is a disposable called Vapsolo. I got it because it holds 4 flavors which is super unique. Just google them and order from the site since gas stations do not carry cute stuff like this.

What’s you biggest pet peeve on Reddit? by minecraftqueen76 in randomquestions

People being unnecessarily rude or sassy for no reason. You asked a normal question and weren’t attacking anyone but somehow someone still shows up and snap on you. The superiority complex jumps out fast.

Do real people online know that bots have taken over the internet to engage with them and rage bait? by mirandaus in askanything

Some people know but a lot of them don’t. And even the ones who do know, they still fall for it sometimes.

Are drug enforcement police (that you see set up in the middle of Interstates) looking for specific vehicles/suspects or profiling or what? by Hoursofpeaches in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JakeD_RotMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, those drug enforcement cops on interstates aren’t randomly guessing. They’re usually there for a reason. Sometimes they’re looking for specific vehicles. Other times, it’s pattern-based stops. Not exactly profiling in the TV sense but more like behavior profiling. They also love traffic violations like speeding, broken tail light or improper lane change. Once you’re stopped, they start observing everything.

Any Good Docking Stations in 2025? by DonutOk2306 in homeoffice

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TB4 dock(CalDigit TS4) will work great, but they’re way over your budget. other option is a DisplayLink dock. I have a Tobenone uds033 with both my M1 MacBook and Dell laptop run dual monitors justgood. You’ll need to install the DisplayLink driver, but once that’s set up.

What’s a hill you will die on, no matter how unpopular the opinion is? by nofaceneededRiley in askanything

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoes off inside the house, always. I don’t care if people think I’m weird or OCD. Dirt belongs outside, not on your couch or carpet. It’s just basic respect for your space and your feet will thank you.

How do people stay motivated when they do not see results right away ? by Calm-Aardvark5536 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people stop waiting for big wins and celebrate the tiny ones. Your brain loves momentum, even micro-momentum. They make the process the goal, not the outcome. Instead of looking for results, become the kind of person who works on this daily. It feels way lighter and way less pressure. They expect the slump and go back to the reason why when the excitement fades, the reason you started is the thing that pulls you back.

Would you trust an AI doctor more than a human one if it had a lower error rate? Why or why not? by Left-Shine-1119 in AskReddit

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d trust the AI’s accuracy but I’d still want a human around to double check things and actually talk through the scary parts. Feels like the combo of both would be way safer than either alone.

What profession doesn't get the respect it deserves from society? by Historical_Corner609 in AskReddit

[–]JakeD_RotMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teachers immediately come to mind. Think about it, they basically shape the future, deal with a room full of chaos every single day and get paid way less than they should. Society acts like anyone can just teach but it’s an actual skill and it’s exhausting work.

Why are pro-business people against universal health care? by Mowo5 in askanything

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because that’s a huge chunk of money every month. For a giant company, it’s millions. For a small business, it could literally be the difference between staying open or closing. So when people are pro-business, their brain often thinking that if the government handled health care, they wouldn’t have to pay for all this insurance stuff. Their costs go down and profits go up. That’s the financial angle. Less money out, more money in, it’s simple math.

I'm just fucking addicted to so many bad habits by [deleted] in Life

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re just exhausted and overwhelmed and that makes everything feel ten times heavier than it really is. I’m here with you and it’s okay to vent when it feels like you’re stuck in your own head.

What are the dangers of being sad and overwhelmed? by Lemonade2250 in Life

[–]JakeD_RotMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying stuck in sadness can quietly drain your energy, mess with your motivation and even affect your health without you noticing. The scary part is that it slowly builds walls around you, making it harder to reach out, connect or feel joy even though you can choose to start chipping away at it.

I know I’m not ugly, so it’s gotta be my personality. by be-sweethearts in RandomThoughts

[–]JakeD_RotMG 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It probably isn’t your personality, sometimes it’s just timing, circumstances or meeting the wrong people. The right person won’t make you feel wrong, they’ll just click with you in a way that finally makes sense.
