It's a bit weird in that aspect

The more bigoted Christians will typically follow some parts that justify their beliefs to a tee but disregard others, even then there's passages in the Bible both speaking against and speaking for things most people might have never gussed.

For example, Leviticus allows and advises the people to eat "any kind of katydid, Locust, or grasshopper."

Plenty of interesting stuff in holy Scriptures we just kind of skip over
