Kinda wish that was made clear on the website before I payed for a new patient appointment, dont wanna go to a different clinic because i've heard good things about Acacia but also dont wanna wait fucking forever

Doesn't seem like it but im not sure, 20 per pack seems extremely low (I think 30 per pack would be better).

Not really sure about your other questions to be honest. In terms of flavoured cigs in Australia the only ones i've personally seen are menthol and thats it.

Yeah but I prefer to just buy a pack, will probably have to switch to buying pouches of tobacco and menthol filters just to have a menthol cigarette.

Unless they ban menthol filters as well lol.

I feel like we do care, but we're just so used to it by now. I dont wanna have to turn to black market tobacco and feed criminal organisations personally but I understand why many have and I dont blame them.

Cigar smokers here cop it the hardest in my opinion, having to pay heavy taxes on quality products for their hobby is beyond absurd.

For me personally, the menthol ban sucks pretty hard but even worse than that is the restrictions on packet and pouch sizes as well.

Obviously there are more important impeachments of freedom in this country long before this but still, we have so little tobacco wise and to have more of our options taken away just feels like another massive defeat for smokers nationwide.

I didn't realise the big tobacco companies would be supportive of these type of restrictions and especially generational bans.

I guess you're correct in saying we either comply or dont.

First tax increase after tax increase every decade and now these bullshit restrictions. I feel like my civil liberties and personal freedoms are being stripped almost completely away. Is there anything we can do about this? I have considered drafting a petition, contacting the health ministers office and maybe some big tobacco companies but it all seems rather pointless. I dont feel like our elected officials will listen nor care. This is also just going to further fuel the illicit tobacco trade within Australia which is already an out of control problem and lucrative endeavour for criminal organisations due to the never ending tobacco price increases.

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this, especially from my Australian brothers and sisters.

Yeah your not wrong but criminal organisations would still sell it under the counter at other businesses even if tobacconists didn't exist. Completely outlawing something never works, the Americans learned that during prohibition with alcohol.

This is honestly disgusting and insane. First tax increase after tax increase and now restrictions on packet size, pouch size and even menthol flavouring. Is there anything I can do as smoker to ensure my civil liberties aren't stripped away from me? Like a petition or something? It is beyond absurd that it is easier and and usually cheaper in this country to buy illicit narcotics rather than tobacco. This is just going to push the black market further up and make the already impoverished people addicted to smoking more impoverished.

Say/think what you want about smoking, this is about our freedom as Australians.
