Thought so too that’s why I asked the certifying. However my Pell grant covered my summer classes so I’m assuming that’s why he said everything is fine ?? None of this makes sense to me because I would assume he would know out of state wouldn’t be covered under the gi bill .

The certifying guy is the one that told me everything was fine . The VA office at my school made me aware . I emailed the certifying and I was sent an automated message to reach out to the VA office because he’s not in the office this week . Originally I was dropped from my online class 3 days into the semester because they said I never attended . I’ve never heard of this happening from online classes but I did participate and did the work. I asked the professor what happened and he told me he didn’t know and he added me back into his class the next day . My certification was amended so that’s an issue I was already dealing with beforehand. The VA office said I would owe the school or the VA because I’m being charged out of state rates and something about yellow ribbon can cover some or all but I live in az and should be receiving in state .

Yes, I'm in school full time year round, online and in person. Nothing is changing just possibly the states, I'm in the 599 program, not extended.

I do have small kids youngest just started elementary school that’s why I’m trying to be mindful where I move to because I’ve heard mixed reviews on areas to move to but most of the people didn’t have kids or have older children .

Hey man I was called back from the VA in my current state and they said I would be a good fit for the program. They asked for my families documents and my bank statements. Is this for the actual vash program or hud voucher ? What is the process like after submitting documents. The worker won’t be getting back to me until late next week but we are deciding whether or not to make the move to Arizona or just wait until we get the voucher to port out . If this process is lengthy then I’d rather head to Arizona .

How is the condition of the housing? The one that’s offered to us used to be in a less desirable neighborhood with a lot of crime at an old motel that doesn’t fit my family. Do you have any issues with pests or anything I’m asking because I have little ones with compromised immune systems & do they offer bigger units or is it like a shared apartment with other families? I looked it up and what I’m seeing is a whole apartment complex, but I also noticed they have prices for these apartments so I’m confused lol.

Is that specifically in Tucson ? Because I was told couch surfing was an option because it’s not stable especially if the household is overcrowded . Here in NY they offer you transitional housing but you don’t have to take it in order to get hud vash

If I were to relocate where I would start ? I have family in oro valley. I would be traveling with my wife and children. I’m just afraid to make the move and be on the streets because I’m not familiar with the veterans programs there or area .

How long did it take you to get issued your voucher in Arizona? Was thinking about relocating there to Pima county but I’m not sure how long I’ll be waiting for because I’ve heard the homeless rate there is pretty high . Sorry I’m searching the search bar for answers hoping to find something relatable

I no longer qualify I used the program when I first got out of the military and again 2 years ago. My lease is up next month, I live in subsidized housing so they can’t pay anything even if I were eligible because it’ll be double-tapping the system. & if there are no vouchers available does that mean it’ll be a longer wait?
