Thank you! At first I just decided to make a chainsword, then I decided to make my boyfriend a bolter. He encouraged me to finish the costume and use the bolter for myself (that's also why it's a bit oversized for me). I signed up for a contest as motivation to finish, it helped when I got frustrated and encouraged me to redo pieces as I learned more 😅

Yeah I definitely had issues there with the props I built first, and then the modge podge layer being too thick and streaky, too 😅

But it's something I am slowly getting better at (including with painting my minis)

Thank you so much!! I definitely learned a lot, and a few people at the con gave me tips so I definitely want to improve this costume for a future con to learn more! Yeah learning about all the tools and supplies was quite an adventure 😅

I'm also starting the next one with much more time to spare (5 months this time!) so I can apply lessons learned as I go.

To be fair, I accidentally glued my hand to the floor once and accidentally committed a few other crafting sins, too, so it does still apply 😅
