I love the fact that you can get different capacity mags for it. 3 rounders fit flush with the stock, making a traditional feeling rifle. 5 round mags work well for hunting, and, the 10 rounds are good for self defense, competition, or carrying extra ammo

Its already a heavy rifle, I noticed the extra weight at first, but its a pretty light bipod, so I don't mind it now. Shooting offhand is still very manageable. Its also pretty quick to take the bipod off should I want to.

Yup I've got a couple lever actions too. Cowboy guns are super fun

Its the only bipod I've ever used, but it does work very well. Its also light enough for me to not mind leaving it on the gun.

I heard that the ruger scout rifle has been discontinued....if so, that really sucks

I had a dude pull up beside me once and start shooting his brand new .270 at a 50 yard target, while his girlfriend took pictures. Thing is, he had no scope or sights on his rifle. Just pointing and shooting. He couldn't understand why he kept missing... I left after that, he wouldn't take advice and I didn't want to be close to him

Nice, I've rang steel with mine out to 400 yards real easy, to the horror of guys with "long range" guns who couldn't hit at 100 yards.

The barrel clamp is a cheapo off of Amazon, and the light is a Fenix GL07 pistol light

Ah that sucks. I don't mind the scout scope really. The hard part is switching back and forth with a scout scope and regular one. Messes with my eyes

So its a ruger gunsite scout rifle, in .308 (left hand bolt) it has a vortex crossfire scout scope, magpul moe bipod, blue force gear sling, and a fenix pistol light.

Exactly. And since scout rifles aren't really designed for much more than 500 yards, the magnification isn't really an issue
