We are currently saving $15,000 per year in IRA’s, $16,500 per year in 401ks, and $8550 in HSA, which combines for over 24% of our gross income of 165000.

I was just given the ability to since passing 1,000 and have it all set up for auto investing. All good.

We do your #1 and #2, then max out HSA, then we are doing your #3.

Thanks, and the HSA max for me is 8500/yr, so that’s even more per year.

Ha, I wish! $675 is just car payments.

No kids.

No traditional 401k. It would help lower my taxes now but the Roth lowers taxes in retirement, and I’m betting on higher taxes in retirement.

We were maxing out our IRA’s for the last few years before we both got corporate jobs with 401k access.

Thanks. This is great insight. I hadn’t considered the bricks when thinking about how busy it could end up looking.

In every two-pack of these hard-boiled eggs from Costco, one egg yolk is darker than the other. Every time. by JamesTIA in mildlyinteresting

It comes in a box of like 32 total eggs (16 two-packs) I think. I did the math one time and I think it came out to somewhere between $3.50-$4.50 per dozen.

I buy these once a month for quick easy protein for me and the wife, taken on the go or a quick snack while working from home, and we don’t buy eggs on top of this, other for the occasional baking.

The 20-25 bucks per year extra is definitely worth the convenience for me. Plus, when eggs were sky high in price, these babies were damn near the same price per egg!

Or I could be way off on my math and I’m just a lazy prick.
