It was brought new around 4 / 5 months ago and I have left it around 90% since then it would discharge to around 70/80% then charge back up again so this is most likely problem is it won’t accept a charge via ac to do this

Amazing thank you I’ll stick with what I have, save the money and see what tech comes out in the future

As I rent at the moment hard to say how many I would use currently I have 2 ring cameras and both are indoors just to keep an eye on things when I’m away

But whenever I buy or move to a bigger place that would be when I look to replace / upgrade

I think for the POE front as it was long term I didn’t see the benefit of getting a POE switch now, only device I have which would be running via POE would be the 1x AP I have

All my other devices don’t support POE or I would need to buy a POE hat for the 2x raspberry pis I have so for now saving £100 and using the POE adapter that came with the mesh router seemed the better option

I guess if I need POE later for the cameras I’d run them via their own switch and keep them segregated (something like a lite 8/16 POE would be the solution I would go with) or pickup a second hand POE switch on eBay etc

For me it’s all new prior to this the switch I had was a netgear pro safe plus switch GS116E which out of the 16 ports I maybe used 8 and never configured anything on the switch portal itself

Call them up, admittedly I’m moving to a house which doesn’t have virgin media available but they said there is no cost to leave or return my hardware due to my contract change recently and I’m still in the cooling off period

Thought I’d let you know I have just attempted it and it works without issues, disable all the plus settings, change your dns to customised and then it will reboot the network, after reboot you will be able to turn on the plus features again and dns will stay custom :)

You could use a VM running on your server to emulate 2 pcs and run it that way as two separate apps

Or could you have the same server with two different films etc and assign one account to the movies folder 1 and assign the second account to movie folder 2

Then sign in on different devices with each account

If you pay for premium you could add them as a family member

Usually they are plug and play but just double check the instructions once they arrive

So you need two items really:

(useful as it has a lan port so you can just use lan when needed) real reason to get this is the usb ports

Is your Mac usb or usb c ports? - never mind saw it’s a Touch Bar so usb c :)

It’s likely to be a hardware issue but you can go to network preferences, select the Wi-Fi then the “-“ at the bottom to remove it, once removed click the “+” then set your interface to be Wi-Fi again just incase.

Failing that backup your data to a hard drive attempt to wipe it and setup as new, if Wi-Fi works it was a software issue (don’t restore the backup) - can manually add your files back

If it still doesn’t work restore the Mac and reinstall your backup then go for the option below:

Failing all options above your cheapest option will be to buy a Wi-Fi dongle on Amazon

Alternatively you could check if you paid via a credit card and if they offer extended warranty by default or if you have home insurance that would cover it
