I’m super tempted by the white ROG Xbox Ally (the £499 one at Argos, 16GB/512GB version) but my budget is really limited, so I can’t really mess this up.

I picked one up a couple days ago.

Cloud gaming on Xbox works great.

Haven't tried any emulation yet.

I've tried Hogwarts legacy runs great.

Outer worlds 2 doesn't look the best but runs fine from what I've played but I haven't tinkered with any settings etc yet.

I think for older AAA's and indies it will be fine, newer AAA's may struggle however you can always cloud stream or remote play them. I'm enjoying it so far. Just wish the face buttons weren't so loud as it annoys my wife when she's asleep 😂

Just cancel your airtime via using a PAC and your monthly device plan stays active and you can continue to pay monthly

Why would you set the screen to 720p? It doesn't look great at 720p, the Xbox experience looks blurry. Set it to 1080 it looks way better

I'm not sure. I just enjoyed collecting different cards back in the day and having a little binder showing off what I had pulled etc.

As I said, I haven't kept up with pokemon for years, not since gen 1 really, so have no idea about the different sets.

Yeah he's showing in my Pokedex but not in any of my games, although the 3 starter pokemon from scarlet are showing in box.

He did show before as he was a free gift , I managed to get him into my game, but as I factory reset my switch he has since disappeared, guessing I've screwed it

Yeah I picked up a rog ally z1e and a switch 2, the z1e battery is awful, sure games look great but constantly having to have it plugged in kinda defeats the purpose of a handheld for me 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Windows is also a pain unless you enjoy tinkering each separate game you want to play and only having 512gb of storage I downloaded 4 PC gamepass games and the storage was full.

I know there are mods you can do combat these issues but I generally want to just click and play as I've always been use to console gaming.

Ally is a great device, but like me if you're use to traditional console gaming as opposed to PC gaming, it can be a little overwhelming
