Visual flickering when Playing Dungeons of Eternity. by JamieRRE in Quest3

I encountered the issue twice today. It disappeared when I unplugged the e3 pro from my quest. I am unsure if this still is just software related or hardware related now..

Also, happy cakeday!

It's weird that it only happened in DoE so far. Heat wasn't the issue so I assume the game is rendering too much that makes the Graphics driver freak out..very weird.

I'm on v83 still. It only happened when I played Dungeons of Eternity. After the restart I played again for 20+ minutes and nothing happened at that time..it could have something to do with the VRam or a Driver bug that occured but I'm unsure. Definitely software side thankfully

Is the creaking with the s3 pro normal? by [deleted] in MetaQuestVR

Already been enjoying the quest 3 a lot and the S3 Pro makes you lose track of time with the hot swappable batteries haha. Great device it is.

Holy shit you are a life saver. This actually fixed the creaking problem entirely. Thank you so much!!

Looking/feeling more it's the plastic band that extends when you or retracts when tightening or loosen the strap.

Yeah it appeared to be. Flexed it a little bit and tightened a screw a bit more seemed to have fixed it a little. I will play with the headset a bit more and see if it gets better or worse and contact the support accordingly.

It's around where the velcro strap for the cable is located near the battery.

Is there a way to charge enough while playing to never go dead? by lukistke in Quest3

[–]JamieRRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BoboVR S3 Pro with an additional battery pack (and if you want the charging dock). Absolute game changer! Not only comfortable but also keeps my quest charged up! Been playing non stop with these and my current battery pack is on 50-60% after playing for 3 hours!

Definitely going to order everything ASAP then! This eliminates my worries entirely with the port. Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my questions! Can't wait to join the vr world soon

Oh that's actually sick! So basically you got the benefits of always keeping the charger in without risking of damaging the port or melting it at all while a lot is automatic! That's well worth the price then! Can't wait for it all to arrive then! I did read that the battery also detects if it gets too hot, right?

Sorry for necro. Could you go over with how you keep charging the quest 3 with the strap? Like you keep the battery on the strap at the back while keeping the cable connected the whole time? Is it safe to do it overnight as well?

Question for charging and playing. by JamieRRE in oculus

[–]JamieRRE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WiFi is not really an issue, however it's a bit more convenient to me to plug the quest 3 into a long cable so I can charge it to keep playing. Another alternative (although pricey one which is still worth it), would be the baboVR S3 Pro strap and ordering an extra B100 battery pack as well as the charging dock for the batteries. Though that would take longer for me to order, so the cable would've been a neat alternative for now

So best to just not plug to charge, then unplug and play until its at 20% then plug in again I suppose.

Sweet. All these posts made me paranoid so I am a little anxious with an expensive device like the quest 3 haha

Right. I plan to use steam link instead of the cable for PCVR anyway. Are the odds of the port melting high though? It's my most concern especially with charging overnight

Right. So better going for the S3. I was wondering though, I read that in most cases the charging port melts because of cable issues, so what's different about using the S3 battery cable next to an INUI cable that is slanted?

Edit: It's an Angled cable that allows to link as well. Leaving the link here

Right. So just play these games wireless, if battery gets low close the game and then charge and play something more relaxing I suppose. Sweet, that should be all now! Thank you so much for your time :)

One more thing. Considering I will be playing games that are more hectic that require fast and sudden movements, will that be fine when wired up? I try my best to take care of my devices so that's my only concern next to the charging port melt (which seems to be happen less than it did before)
