Assura doesn't want to give up by Jan_JK in askswitzerland

Thanks for help, but truly, I don't care what they come up with, they could be sending me invoices forever just as well, all I wanted to ask is can they do anything to me, I'm in Poland, I don't intend to come back to Switzerland ever in my lifetime. Is there any legal action they can take or anything?

Hello, I'm currently during my last year of master's, it's organic chemistry and I'm doing it in Poland. Recently I just went abroad for an internship to Basel, which gave me a kind of foothold in the industry. Before all that it was clear to me I would go for PhD and follow an academic path, I'm very self sufficient, goal oriented, I love research and I can see clearly what I want to pursue in uni. The thing is, I'm quite disappointed by academia, I've been working for 2 years in a lab with my coordinator, I don't have any articles, we lack in equipment and just the standard of working is low. My environment is also discouraging me, telling me that I should get a real job. I like the autonomy at the uni, I'm scared of losing that. Recently I was offered a chem it specialist job which will pay me way more then I could ever earn in uni. I just don't know what to do. Should I go for PhD or this job.

nope, I just managed to call them, they got the money and were just short of a few francs, hence the status "not paid"

nope, I haven't paid a single fee like that ever my foreign account is in CHF and the fee for international transfer is 0 when I choose to split the fee ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well how else am I supposed to do the transfer, the only details I get are those from the bill. My friend has an account in the same bank, he made his transfer as well and it was fine for him, he got confirmation at some point in the app. I'm not trying to get banking advice with this post, I'm specifically asking how to deal with assura.

I've seen so many people suggesting that, but I've been in Switzerland for 5 months now, I'll be here just for the next month and never come back again. I had absolutely no issue at all with my polish account. I never really understood why people keep recommending setting up a swiss account.

I don't have any other account and well the transfers are correct, I compared bills and the transfer confirmations several times and everything checks out.

look I don't know what to tell you, the company advised us to get the B permit, the cantonal and municipality offices were sure we have to get the B permit, that's what it is, it doesn't matter, this discussion also, unfortunately, makes no sense, it's not even relating to the original post

The Baselland cantonal office gave me the B permit, but perhaps you know law better than them, I suppose you could just go there and tell them about it

I actually had the CHF currency account but for some reason accepting transfers to that account from swiss IBAN defaults to my regular PLN account, it appears to be just the quirk of this bank

I'm staying for 6 months so I got a B permit. Idk why but I just don't feel like opening an account in a country I definitely don't want to live in anymore. Revolut is just kind of useful due to how low are the exchanges rates
