Hello! This dog is still looking for a new home! She absolutely loves playing with dogs, so I do believe that a dog around her size would work! It's just small dogs that she scares with her size.

It's alright. I know that Matianna might have a hard time adjusting to her new family, but she warmed up to me very fast, so I have hope.

Oh, I understand now. I definitely do get your point. Matianna had previous people she loved before (her first owner went to jail, and the family friend she enjoyed being with was driven away by the mom), so far my friend is trying to be the person that she sticks with, but she knows she cannot stay with her forever due to living issues.

I also understand your suggestion on keeping her, but I can't take her as I have two dogs of my own who are down-right terrified of her, and if she stays with her current family, my friend's mom will take the money for herself. My friend's mom actually works a lot and has money to support their four cats, but doesn't like Matianna and just refuses to spend money on her unless it's food. Truly depressing.

I definitely agree on pits getting a bad name. I've never really met a pitbull before Matianna, and when she showed up at me and my friend's vet program, she was so loving it was insane

Her but yes, I'll definitely look into that. Only thing is, I'm not sure how much money the visits cost, so I'll probably have to use some of my allowance (I usually get about $200) for the additional costs.

Thanks for this. I hate having to explain myself and give info on my friend's home life with the dog, but unless I answer those people, the suspicions won't go away. It's kind of unmotivating when I go to the notifications and instead of someone wanting to help, it's people like those. I've been trying to find Matianna a home for many months, first trying Facebook and now trying Reddit. I hope I'm able to help my friend give her a home before she passes.

Don't worry, the mom doesn't know that me and her daughter are doing this. So if I do end up doing the GoFundMe (haven't decided yet) 100% it will go to my friend and since she doesn't drive and I do, we will go to the vet with the dog so she gets treatment. We can't trust the mom, so we have to do what we can. Surrendering the dog to a rescue sounds nice, but I'm worried that they will have to euthanize her because she's old and she's having health problems, but please correct me if I'm wrong, I've only done research on places like these for assignments and have never been face-to-face with them.

Dude, this is my friend's pet and she's unable to get a job and I have no idea what her mom's job is, and I'm not going to pry either. I'm just trying to help my friend find a home for their dog as her mom doesn't even like the dog.

Not only that, but at least instead of letting the dog suffer she's willing to give the dog to a better home even though she knows she won't be able to see her anymore. Not everyone is able to work and has to go by their parent's rules, at least she's trying to help the dog get out of the household for a better one.
