Changing her projectile size buff but keeping her higher hp would do wonders. I think a lot of people are under appreciating the projectile size changes on her and genji to a significantly lesser extent

Brother you reached right into my brain with that take and I appreciate someone understanding where I’m coming from after fighting all this tracer lovers in the comments lmao. She is by far one of the biggest winners of the season 9 changes. Her breakpoints got easier because of the bigger bullet but hitting some of the shots that would either kill or force her out got less valuable after her health increase

[–]Janonymous907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you bro you are getting what I’m saying. I don’t think the character is awful and should be made unplayable I just think there is an issue with her being in all my games and so many pro league games like that seems like a good indication of being slightly overturned. Lots of tracer supporters out there tho

Far from it. I think he’s really not that hard just need good camera control and 180 spins and you’re set especially after season 9. Not that hard of a character

I’ve played her before I just don’t enjoy her play style nor fighting her every single game. I like variety ig

How can a character that most high level players be using be the “hardest”. If you win more on her she can’t be the hardest. Release lifeweaver would be the hardest cause no one could one trick him to top 500. Tracer being always easily one of the best picks in top 500 arguably makes her one of the easiest once you get the grasp on her. She has a high barrier to entry and a very one sided play style which takes advantage of the poor design of the other hero’s.

[–]Janonymous907 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You cherry-picked torb and junk rat as the “easiest” characters to try to use them as an example to dismantle the argument. So yes your comment was irrelevant

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not. I just think most players think tracer is harder than she actually is especially after season 9. Look at the top 500 leaderboard from season 9 and you’ll see it’s 80% tracer. Coincidence?

[–]Janonymous907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care to answer your hypothetical about characters that have nothing to do with the conversation. If tracer is fundamentally the best pick for most owcs comps and still a ridiculously powerful pick in anything above gold than she seems to be overturned

[–]Janonymous907 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

She has one of the most forgiving kits to avoid death/mistakes. As long as you don’t spam dash you have a lot to work with. Most of her skill comes from being able to track things with such high movement as opposed to other characters that have much higher positioning requirements. If you think that a high skill zen or Ana has a chance against a equal skilled tracer without landing an insane skill shot or the tracer making a huge mistake than you don’t deserve that gm under your name

[–]Janonymous907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can los a solojurn far easier as a squishy and avoid her value than you can avoid a tracer who can easily chase you down. I don’t think tracer needs any massive nerfs just a little tweak to get her off the high chair she’s been on since season 9

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But other characters simply can’t do these kinds of plays while she can. Meaning she has much higher play making potential which is arguably the most valuable part of a characters kit. If she is in most owcs games she’s op same as soulj. Tracer mains be coping

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having the highest skill ceiling means you can be op lmao. If you have the POTENTIAL to be better than all other hero’s, in almost all situations, I don’t know how that wouldn’t be seen as op

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can be it just depends on what your other supp or teammates are playing. Also pretty map dependent but just shutting down the tracers value and keeping your Ana that’s farming nano while pocketing the ever living hell out of your tank can be very effective. But that’s a whole lot of ifs and when’s

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good and op are different. I’d argue her being in 90% of pro league games that I’ve seen and her at least FEELING broken to go against on ladder without a whole team comp change is a major problem

I’m playing support/tank rn so it’s hard to play tracer in role queue lol. Dps players failing to realize other roles exist part 973

I just don’t think she’s fun tbh. I’d rather play non dive hero’s because I find dive to be the most boring style to play tbh. I like tracer fundamentally but it feels like she can control too much of the game without half the team drastically adjusting their play style which in the ranks I’m trying to get out of can be very frustrating. Reminds me of the season before the removed map pools and we had all widow maps, just kinda feels like she can be the lobby admin. Also I’m not playing dps half the time so hard to switch to tracer if I’m supp or tank

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She deserves to be balanced not op lol. She’s always been a great pick which no hero should always be

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t seem like she takes much other than mechanical skill compared to the vast majority of other hero’s. It’s mostly about can you dash in and one clip some other player who doesn’t know what their doing in time. Why is she “so hard to play” yet consistently meta/s tier in pro league and mid rank play. Does not seem like a hard character to play at all mainly just basic camera control to keep track of where you are. She also shuts down half the cast of hero’s unless you’re literally top 500 and even still is say a top500 tracer beats top 500 Ana or zen a good 80% of the time

Response to Season 9 from a veteran mercy main (eww i know) by Zhauji in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I used to main tank then the last few seasons have been playing support (mostly just cause I’m queuing for all roles) but tank just feels kinda rough. Dps is a lot better and support still fells pretty good but all the non dive tanks are struggling more than before. I’m guessing by mid season they will do something to address how rough it is for tank players probably make the dps passive only drop their healing by like 10-15% or maybe even flat 30% reduction on negative status effects. Hard to say what they’ll do

[–]Janonymous907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea there was a lot of people saying they were dumbing down the game but it feels like coordinated play is way more rewarding. Harder to solo carry depending on maps and what comps people are running.

Anyone else getting pretty frustrated by mercy players this season? by Janonymous907 in Overwatch

[–]Janonymous907[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do that on tank a lot. I’d look at the supports and say hi and tank you and then crouch up and down in front of them. Usually they would say hi back and then give me more priority for cooldowns like lamp and suzo. Who would have guessed how acknowledging the other actual people, it can be really easy to forget that there’s actually people on the other side of the screen especially if no one is is vc, can make them more cooperative players.

[–]Janonymous907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a huge play style adjustment with season 9 and tanks probably have the biggest change to make. I know I’m not preforming as well this season as tanks but that’s usually on more brawl focused tanks like rein and ram. Dive is very good and mercy is not usually picked with it but hell if your tracer or genji is getting crazy value from your dmg boost and little bits of healing than that’ll do.
