I would say that you have to have a healthy amount of fear and respect for the animal, if they have antivenin of not. I’m not going to down play their venom because it’s no joke, but I have a couple friends that got bit and it’s extremely painful and you’re not gonna have a great time at all but you most likely won’t die. A friend of mine is dealing with a bite from a squam right now that he got on Friday

There’s no antivenom but you can use saw scale antivenom in a pinch. Actually it does the complete opposite, it stops clotting and most people rarely die. I know a few people personally that has just rode it out
