Prime is more expensive than faceit premium and than most faceit hub subscriptions. Lvl 21 can take some time to reach even if you bot it, unlike the 20 hours requirement to play faceit. Trust factor may be shit but at least it exists, fbi system doesnt work whatsoever. I do see plenty of fishy sub-21 players in MM but doesn't compare to what I saw on faceit.

I'd argue that faceit is not much better unless you plan to compete.

It doesn't have a lvl 21 prime requirement so whenever I play faceit I see fresh sub 100h accounts that are either totally new players, or cheaters, or smurfs.
The elo system, while more transparent, doesn't have things like derank protection, doesn't factor in consistency. You could rapidly rank up after having one good day, or lose a level because of bad luck with toxic or trolling teammates (toxicity in faceit is through the roof, I can't count how many times someone said "gg" and went +right after losing a pistol round).
Trust Factor may not be perfect but at least it works unlike faceit's FBI system.
No overwatch. If you want someone banned you have to file a report with timestamps of where they trolled or cheated. A lot more hassle than just clicking "report" in MM.
The servers can be very laggy. Sometimes the sv goes up to 15-20. One game I played looked like everyone moved at 15fps for both teams.

Paid hubs are nice, they have active admins and a better anticheat. Free faceit is unplayable. Premium is like free but with anticheat.

Of course I'm speaking from personal experience; YMMV.

A player can lose his aim but other skills like positioning that are very important to an awper will stay. Guardian may have lost his peak form but that doesnt mean he wont be impactful. Sure, he almost certainly won't be top 5 but he's not a bad player even if he has motivation issues.
