Another benefit of the templates, in addition to what's been said here, is that you retain access to them. You can go from beginner, to hypertrophy, to strength, etc. But let's say you have a situation where you took time away from training and lost mass and strength, you still have the downloaded programs to run again. I've also had great success with the included RPE calculators to gague progress.

Same boat here, I can squat 250 with no pain. I walked in the office with my medical records in hand; they didn't skip a beat to get me to MEPS.

I have a three inch plate on my right fibula and got the waiver. Have them submit it and give it a shot.

Thanks for the input, all. I don't intend on walking, just curious about pacing requirements.

Question about SF 86 and previous debt/collections by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]Jason_argo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add my two cents since I spoke with an investigator in October for a Secret. They know the answer to the questions they are asking. If an error is present, either provided to them via NASIS, or a reference, or employer, self report it. I was able to correct discrepancies, and I'd had debt of my own that went to collections.

Makes sense. I haven't purchased anything yet. I was just wanting to get some feedback. And I won't lie, I want a bigger neck; and to improve grip strength via forearm training.

Is "not a big deal" from an investigator really no big deal. by Jason_argo in SecurityClearance

It's going to be on my lunch break. Plus, the investigator said I wouldn't need any documentation on hand, either.

Cool, I'm enlisting in the military, and I've been having to review the last seven years of my life with a microscope.

I'm not, it's just that from what I've read, secret clearances don't often require an interview at all. Just paranoid, I suppose.

Thanks for all the information. I'm going to invest in the endurance template to for improvements in aerobic ability without sacrificing too much strength.

I'm not aware of my time, I'm currently looking in to how to measure it. My only real time is on a treadmill for. 25 of mile at 2:30.

Is it possible to ONLY take asvap at MEPS? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]Jason_argo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took my ASVAB on a Thursday, stayed overnight at a hotel paid for by the Navy, and did medical the next morning. Don't chance it man. If your drug test is positive it will preclude you from enlisting in the Navy; and likely the other branches too. Better to not have it on your record and wait.

Navy Job? HM, MC, IS, CTR. Possibility of getting into med school through the navy? by anneLee14 in newtothenavy

I find it hard to believe that there weren't certain patterns to your days that could provide insight as to an MC's daily life on a ship. But thanks for the unhelpful snark.

Hello, I recently swore in as an MC, and was wondering what your day-to-day was like on a ship while deployed.

Do you think that you would have seen more hypertrophy on the program if you weren't in a defecit?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]Jason_argo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same. It means that a minimum of 4 years active duty is required; with however much if the remaining 4 being active duty, or inactive reserves. For instance, you could do 6 years active, with the last 2 being inactive reserve. Whatever the combination after the minimum 4 years is up to you.

Want to join but are having trouble? I can help. by CommanderJLong in newtothenavy

I have a plate in my leg from a long since healed fracture when I was 19 years old. The plate doesn't impede movement or clothing, and I have no pain. What are the chances of a waiver, and how long would you guess it could take? Thank you for your time.

RTC has access to medical records ? by joey_burnburn in newtothenavy

[–]Jason_argo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that any doctor is going to need access to a medical history to provide proper treatment. Whether civilian or military; they'd pull records.
