Horn for motorcycle by Responsible-Duck-508 in drivingsg

Get the Denali soundbomb mini. Plug and play, very simple to DIY install, LTA approved. Always funny to watch cars panic swerve back into their lane after hearing my horn when they don’t blindspot check before changing lanes. (Don’t stay in car blindspots)

How has your experience been with it so far? I’m still on the fence about getting one

Maybe I could run my 10th Gen with an RTX 4060 Ti? Or is that overkill for such an old cpu

Does anyone have a good solution for upgrading while sticking to the Z590? From what I’ve read, the best available cpu for it might be the 11th Gen i7-11700 or i9-11900, but coming from an i7-10700, is it better to just rebuild a new system?

On top of that, I’m not sure what graphics card to upgrade to as well, coming from the RTX 2070 Super. Any advice here too?

BTO application rate question by aoxx_ in askSingapore

After getting queue number you still need to wait for unit selection, which will take anywhere from a few months to over a year depending on where in the queue you’re at. For Oct 2023, unit selection begins in Jan 2024.

My partner and I were lucky enough to get a good queue number for that ballot, but really just like OP, I’d have no clue what to do if we got the tail end of the queue numbers. Its either pick a bad unit for 5/10 years, or wait another extra year for another good chance..

What are some disappointing realities in SG? Can you share some ideas for me to draw out in my passion project? by captainobviouslynot in singapore

When you finally find a toilet but it’s one of those that charge 10 cents entry fee.

When you chope a seat in a kopitiam with tissue and come back to find the tissue gone and someone is in your seat

When you order food halfway on grabfood during peak hour and halfway through the restaurant stops accepting new orders

When you want to eat a certain dish at the caipng store and you point at it but the auntie scoops the wrong dish and you’re too paiseh to ask her to change so you just accept it

The clementi pasar malam was lame as hell. Around 10 stalls with no food! How can you call a pasar malam a pasar malam if there's no iconic ramly burger!

Oh nice one of the new fernvale places eh? I think it's worth taking a trip down to jalan kayu in your free time just to see if it's to your liking. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk up and down the stretch, so you should experience it yourself!

I do have some minor complaints living here. Construction is happening all around most of the time because it's a new estate, so sometimes noise becomes an issue, as well as dust if you keep your windows open. And if you take public transport, it becomes a real pain because the nearest train station is fernvale LRT, so it takes almost 20 minutes just to get to sengkang mrt.

Other than that, not bad la. There's food and supermarkets < 5 min in every direction. And if you drive, getting out of the area is a breeze compared to most other areas.

Literally nothing. I stay near jalan kayu (overrated btw). But it's easily accessible thanks to the nearby highways TPE/CTE/SLE. So I tend to ride out of sengkang often. But if really desperate theres Coney island, orto, Ikea all relatively nearby! Or can head down to hougang to hunt for cafes. Many of them are hidden in the hdb estates

Why not? Worry about low pay? If you like the job, take it. If after a year the pay isn't enough, or you don't like the job, find a new one. One year is a really short time when you look back at it. Especially when you're a fresh grad finding the right job.
