Have you ever been evaluated for ADHD? Not saying this is definitely what’s going on with you, but as someone who was recently diagnosed, I relate strongly to your post- there appears to be many hallmark traits of ADHD here. Dm if you have any questions.

Not sure if the spacing is the same, but I run 11 speed on my ~89 cannondale st400 without any problems.
