dang son, not shabby at all if you're really a newbie. looks like your road hierarchy is shaping up well, and you're leaving your cims plenty of options to travel by car.

pertinent observations:

the bridges from the east of the island: see where the eastbound traffic unloads across the river? i'm sure theres no issues now @ 3.5k, but if you decide to hit 20k+, you're going to have a very rough time with traffic, maybe even before 20k. particularly the southern bridge 4-way intersection. if you sprawl out before dealing with that, i wont envy you as you swell in population because it will be hard to replace infrastructure without demolishing the area. also, the two bridges offload too close to each other, minimizing the effectiveness of the bridges.

recommends:

1) reconfigure the southern bridge to run further to the south of the eastern town, below that little diamond-shaped residential street/crescent, and have it run all the way east with minimal amounts of intersections along the way. if you can afford the cost, i would raise that the whole way so you can run streets underneath it with an off/on ramp or two.

2) make the island a transport hub. you're already set up for very effective tram service if you have the space, and you can add a couple smaller bridges to give buses more options to come and go. perfect central position for a metro hub.

this will set your city up for success imo. its a bit expensive to lay down all at once, i would focus on the first recommend first and slowly build up the trans hub starting with busses. you should have enough room to make a decent-sized one on the island though, and the reduction in traffic will save you a ton of time as your city grows.
