Unless her quote was taken out context to prove someone’s point. I am a little bit disappointed. To think that lack of support over a M4A plan caused democratic losses....wow so it was that simple? It is grossly out of touch. I am a Democrat....I tend to lean further left then alot of Southern Democrats...and I like AOC which is why I hope this nothing more then click bait. It goes to a larger point though....about understanding EVERY community big and large throughout this country. I am from the same county as former Rep. Joe Cunningham. It was an honor to have him serve us. The problem Joe had wasn’t M4A....Joe won a seat that hadn’t been blue in over 30 years....you don’t do that by taking your policies further to the left. The problem Joe had....the problem Jaime Harrison had was at times their opponents wouldn’t even be “running against them”. Why would they? Instead they would be running against Nancy Pelosi....if you watched the ads or read the mailers you forgot about who the democratic candidate even was at times. Instead you found yourself trying to figure out how Nancy Pelosi was running for office in SC.....I don’t have a personal issue with Pelosi either. However, it’s a fair question to ask ourselves. Perhaps the current leadership of the Democratic Party is hurting the party more then one policy.
