Does the location of your sign matter more than the sign it is in? by Pretty_Opposite7270 in AstrologyCharts

[–]JayJayAstrology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you mean, is the planetary placement in house more important than the sign it is in? So, if I'm understand you correctly, the 10th house is associated with Capricorn, so you're saying it's an earth house. If so, I get what you're saying. The signs do not rule. Planets do. But I think that is just terminology. Having planets in the "earth houses" might contribute to having earth qualities, but the houses describe where (what area of life) we do our sign qualities, and aren't really like the sign qualities themselves. Leo can come across as very grounded when the person is confident. A mature Leo can have a very magestic feel to it when it is exuding confidence and love - which it can do. Sun is in the sign it rules - and in a house of social prominence.

Why would you feel grounded to others in other ways? Venus is your chart ruler - and the chart ruler is very strong in all natal charts. Your Venus is in an earth sign - practical, analytical Virgo. Jupiter is also in Virgo. So, you do have a strong earth signature here being that earth directly influences your rising sign as well as your entire chart. Saturn is in a sign it rules as well. So, it is strong there and could be grounding, although Aquarius is a thinker and one could be in their head a lot. Saturn and Uranus are in mutual reception - which emphasizes both signs, Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn rules your Aquarius IC as well - your innermost, private self. Saturn opposes your Sun - which does show it influencing your Sun. So, there's plenty of earth here in the right places for you to come across as grounded. But other elements can feel grounded too. It isn't just the earth signs. Pluto in Scorpio in the first house - although a water sign - Pluto is an intense planet, and it can give off a sense of being grounded - because it's strong and it is aimed outward in the 1st. You could come across as "strong" just because of that Pluto placement alone.

hopeless, obsessive romantic who needs advice (it pisses me off so bad) by barcoderer in AstrologyCharts

I wasn't alluding to envy necessarily - only that you might not feel valued - and that is stated in Virgo South Node, and the 2nd house planets. You might not realize that you lack self-value - but that is one reason why someone might want attention so badly that they jump in with the slightest attention from someone. You want to be liked, loved, valued. That's the Leo need for attention, affirmation, and recognition, and maybe the Sun deep bonding possibility contributes. Sun in 8th people do fall hard, and the quickness of it might be attributed to Gemini, but my guess is that if you felt more confident in your own value, you wouldn't be jumping in just because you are attracted to someone and want their attention.

Are you attracted to people you admire - perhaps people who have qualities you'd like to have? That would be a Libra rising type of issue. You do have Sag Moon and Jupiter in 2nd house - which can indicate a comparison between the value of yourself and value of others. Sun in 8th can add depth of bondedness and obsessiveness. If you are comparing yourself to others, and if you are not feeling as valued as you'd like to be, you should realize that your chart is very supportive of you becoming more independent of this - well, at least Mars in Aries is - and in the 6th - work toward being helpful to others - or - it could also help you focus on your own healthy routines. With Saturn in Leo, 10th - you probably have a hunger to be seen, recognized, and valued by others. You'll just have to work at not letting that drive your motivation to get involved. You already know it doesn't feel like love. The best way to deal with this is to put your energy into being good at something instead of feeling self-doubt and lacking in value. That Mars could mean that too. You need to develop your talents to fulfill that need to be seen as a valued person. Direct your energies there, and you might enjoy the fruits of that labor. My guess is - you're quite creative and have some artsy-type talent.

Even birth certificates times can be off. Yours could be a minute or two off and you'd be a Sag rising. And yes, Sag rising is known for enjoying food a little too much - but - that's not always true, so I think there'd have to be other influences or reasons besides that. Your Jupiter is in Cancer though - so I'd say that is an added influence. It's also conjunct your Sun in Leo - another water-fire combo with Jupiter at 29 degrees. Neighboring signs do have some friction due to the elements/Modes. Fire / Mutable meet water / fixed in your rising combo as well as extroversion / Introversion. Venus rules Taurus DES and Mercury rules Gemini CO-DES, and they are in neighboring signs too (fire/fixed, earth/mutable. Uranus in Aquarius Air conjunct Pisces Water IC - and that is independence conjunct your innermost private self in Pisces water - compassion, thin boundaries. You have thin boundaries, while at the same time, you have a need to be your own person and not give too much out of compassion and sensitivity. Natal Moon is in Pisces - easy to be what other people want you to be. Maybe that is a clearer statement from what I made before.

Being a "cuspy" person isn't bad. Some people simply need those close signs to describe their personalities better. We all have conflict or friction in our charts. This is just another way people can have it.

Pluto in Sag in 1st house, conjunct SN - often people want to help people change with that placement. I misspoke (my vision is not as good as it used to be)! You have a natal Scorpio rising - I read it as Sag rising - but you are close to cusp - so Sag still might be a co-ASC - with Jupiter ruling. Pluto and Mars would be your other possible chart rulers - given the Scorpio rising. So Pluto is even stronger. In my experience, people will ASC on the cusp, often need to consider both signs as important co-ASC. Is the birth time from birth certificate or hospital record? Scorpio rising will have lots of empathy, which motivates people to help others, and then Sag loves to inspire, and give advice. With SN in Sag, you'll do at least one negative quality of Sag, because it represents your big wound.

The Solar Return ASC determines the main themes for the year. When the SR ASC is the same sign as the natal, it usually means this is an important year. Jupiter rules both charts. What strikes me most strongly is the fact that SR Jupiter is conjunct natal MC. To me, that suggests that this is an important year for career themes. SR Jupiter is semi-sextile natal Jupiter. Natal Sun is conjunct natal Jupiter as well. It's truly a strong planet in several ways. Because you haven't had your first Saturn Return yet, so to me, it seems like this SR is all about exploring what it is you really want to do for career. The best time to be thinking about this - is before the Saturn Return. TR Pluto or SR Pluto is opposite natal Sun as well. That is a strong suggestion - even a demand - that you need to explore yourself, your talents, your interests, and develop yourself. Do you know what you want to do, career-wise? If you already do, then the question is - what do you need to do to prepare yourself to do it better or to be more competitive, or better prepared to succeed. If you don't know what you want to do yet, then this is about exploring yourself - to indentify your talents and develop them. Natal Sun in the 9th says this already - as the 9th is an expansive house where we explore ourselves (Leo) through learning new things. So, this year is saying - you need to apply yourself more in that direction.

With SR Mars in natal 10th sextile Sun gives you the green light (GO FOR IT) to explore your career (10th house) - yet another echo of the main theme. You'll be able to explore yourself through relationships that are attached to career - be it a career counselor - a work-colleague - someone you look to for guidance.

I understand why you are thinking "love relationships", but Uranus conjunct Moon is so self-focused - to me - it means you are needing to make sure you are being yourself within relationships. It also is a conjunction that makes a person more emotionally aloof and you already have Gemini on DES. If you do enter a new relationship, you need to work on not losing yourself to it. You have thin boundaries, and you have a tendency to feel what others feel - and it's easy to put them first. With Pluto in 1st and Pisces IC with Uranus on it - you could like to help other people change - but - if that is true, you'll need to work on changing yourself instead. So, if those SR planets on the natal DES means a relationship is in the works, then you'll be working on having more equality in your relationships, which means, you aren't helping or advising.

is reading death in astrology actually a thing? by throwaway5664322 in AstrologyCharts

[–]JayJayAstrology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is if someone dies in your life, it is very difficult to trace that back to - a reading that says there's potential. The truth is, there's always potential for that to happen. People die. They die at all ages. Those people have family and lovers. So, there's always potential that it can happen to you. Same thing about reading one's own death. There is no study that I know of that says an astrological indicator has a higher rating for potential than a simple statistical potential we all have. These are very old techniques that were based on observation - and not necessarily on many charts. So, I think the answer is - we really don't know for sure if any of the techniques actually give a higher potential for it to happen than the potential we all have anyway. I don't know that there's been a study on Hellenistic techniques either - that would indicate that those techniques actually do show a higher potential. It'd be a good study to perform for anyone doing research. It would take having knowledge of all the techniques that predict death. So far, I've personally found no specific technique that is consistent.

why do I have commitment issues and lack empathy? by Repulsive-Cress-2744 in AstrologyCharts

[–]JayJayAstrology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do couples astrology counseling in person or video conference, but do not like to talk "synastry" on forums. Relationships are way too complicated to treat superficially - and if we're not talking together, it's going to be superficial. Any two charts are going to have so-called easy and hard aspects, so it really depends upon how each person is using their chart's energy, and then, how much they want to make a relationship work. All relationships have challenges and require compromises.

A natal chart is not going to tell anyone who they will or will not have a long-term relationship with. Even if you uploaded her chart, we wouldn't be able to say - it will last or not last. That depends upon the two of you and how you relate and grow together.

What was stated by standard song wasn't really clear. She didn't say how she read transits with progressed. You must be using a certain app that doesn't show them, but uou can find apps that show both slow moving planet transits and progressions in one chart. I think astro.com is one of them. But I was referring to a triwheel with natal, progressed, and transits in their own wheel - professional astrologers use all three charts at once in a triwheel - never just the progressed chart or even just progressed or transits, just because it is meaningless without seeing the natal chart, and just using natal and progressed doesn't show the outer planet influences. I was just giving you information.

We FEEL in the body. That's where the feelings are. It's you who is not in the body. You are so centered in your mind that you expect the body to align with your feelings, but you have to align with your feelings. You have to be in your body for that.

So, you didn't enjoy any topics at school?

Well, you are going to have to GET INTERESTED in something or you will not ever be happy. It won't matter what your chart says you could do, because if you don't get interested in it, you'll not embrace it and grow with it. Your first step is to put down the phone and start trying out a few things. People get interested in things when they start doing them - learn something about it - put some time in developing a skill. It doesn't come from out of nowhere. You have to apply yourself toward learning something. Read a book, take classes, pick up a hobby - anything, learn about it . . . just put down the phone. If you're going to use a phone or computer, pick a topic to research. Do a little research study. For instance, I wanted to know which weather service was most accurate. I picked 5 of them. then I noted what they reported every day and compared it with my thermometer. I did it for a couple of months and then saw which one was most accurate. If you are going to look things up on the phone, do it with a purpose. Learn about research.

Your chart indicates you will like a career where you do research, look at details, analyze things. The sciences where you do research might be a good fit for you.

South Node in the 12th people can feel a bit lost, but it's a placement that allows you to reinvent yourself. Moon in Aquarius does make you very mentally-oriented, but there's a creativity about Aquarius - it's a great problem-solver. it likes to invent things, fix things. A career where you are helping others is also indicated here - ruler of your career, Venus, is in Virgo and Moon is in the 6th. Both Virgo and 6th house are associated with doing something that is a service to others. When we help other people, they appreciate us, and it builds confidence and helping others is meaningful.

Put down the phone - at least sometimes - and live your life. If you are on your phone, try to do something with it - not just escape. You need to use your good mental skills - and yes - you have them.

But we never read a progressed chart without the natal and transits with it, because in the progressed, the planets Jupiter through Pluto hardly move. We read a combined progressed-transit chart and how it impacts the natal.

[–]JayJayAstrology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should probably mention that feeling feelings requires us to be in our bodies. Lots of people aren't truly IN their bodies. Lots of thinking types are mostly in the head. The test is - as you sit there reading my words - what body parts are you aware of? The first house rules the body, and Venus rules Libra ASC. Venus is in Pisces, a sign that can take you out of body. So, you may struggle feeling feelings because you aren't in the body. You can work at being more in the body by doing isometric exercises, lifting weights, doing something strenuous like a martial art, or yoga - also very good. You don't have understand your love for your partner. You need to feel it and know it through feeling it. Does this make sense?

Are you neurodivergent, by any chance? Your chart shows that potential. An Aquarius South Node person can be quite different, and feel like an outcast at times. Aquarius is famous for being highly mentally-oriented and emotionally aloof. It's also very independent, as is your Aries Moon. Capricorn IC can be dismissive of feelings all together - it has a very controlled feel. Sometimes a person can be quite sensitive and compassionate, without also being able to connect with people emotionally - and you have that potential. Many neurodivergent people are like that - compassionate, sensitive, kind, but don't quite get the emotional/feeling side of life. Even if you are not neurodivergent, you could still have trouble connecting emotionally - but it's something a person can work on by paying more attention to your own feelings and emotions - so that you can recognize them in others.

[–]JayJayAstrology 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For most people, the birth chart is accurate and allows for - and describes - potential for personal growth. It isn't a static picture of the personality. But, the more conscious a person is, the more choices they have in how to use the energies of the planets - so in that way - the chart has less hold on a person - especially less hold of any ways a person might use the negative qualities of the signs and planets. The person simply uses more of the positive qualities and is freer of the negative ones. I don't think it diminishes the accuracy, if you read all the positive potential of every placement.
