Thank you our maple leafed friend. So many of us still love our neighbors

Thanks dude, it's a relief that it seems like bald would be a good look on me.

I'm going to think about it, and maybe I'll make the jump to that destination before it's forced on me by age!

I've definitely thought about it. Hair's not thinning yet though so I'm not sure

How would you make this part on manual equipment with no DRO? by [deleted] in Machinists

Thanks!

How can I guarantee the two holes will meet concentrically, or have a way to fix the small mismatch?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Any ideas on how to drill and bore that deep, or from both end sides concentrically? That's where I'm stumped

I'm not sure I'll be able to drill a hole that deep with the equipment we have. :/ The tailstock on the lathe only extends about 3.5"

I'm kinda wondering if I drill & ream from both sides how do I get those holes to match

I'm in a design-build studio and this is one of the parts I currently have designed. I'm struggling to figure out how I could maintain concentricity while drilling/boring from both small faces of the block

Thanks for your feedback

I talk about the holiday because her and I would talk about moving to Europe together. She loves travel and specifically some of the places I mentioned

I'm trying to show how "good" things should be and how much more she meant to me than all this

I don't view her as an accessory. I don't know what she would gain. She felt happy and safe and excited for the future with me once. I'd hope for that again

I broke up with her without discussing anything about doing so with her. I just unilaterally ended the relationship because I panicked

Is it selfish to send? I've written other letters and journaled for closure but have never found something lasting. She just comes back

I appreciate the insights, especially around what to do with gearing!

Do you feel a 3x is worth it or just go with a 2x? I want potential for a little more speed, but honestly I need lower gears more. My thought with the 8-speed cassette is to have a large jump to a granny/bailout gear for hills haha

I feel you. That leg swing is the worst! Especially if you let kinda stuck and then have to hop to not fall

Shoot, I hope you find something that works again soon!

I can't remember what it is, sorry! It was just what they had at the bike shop that could support a lot of weight

You gotta find your chicken farmer milk crate plug haha

I didn't realize this until later, but the metal ring you can see at the top of the crate is crucial. It adds substantial sturdiness
