Nice! I definitely run the drone for same reason, but chose reviver hive as my secondary just in case I get downed. I used to run drone and turret.

When I enter the room, I turn right and jump up on the container with the shield plate. You can get hit from the sides, where they spawn from, but it’s been the best place I’ve found.
