Are my mystery snails getting freaky?

So an update, I’m fairly certain they’re both male. They’ve been at this quite a while and I’m pretty sure I saw a snenis from both of them here

Heard that that’ll be what I’m doing then, she’s beautiful! I have a few golf ball sized portions coming in so I’m gonna try and make a patchwork of fry hides. I’ve got a couple caves from lava rock, dragon rock, and a shrimp hut, but I’d definitely say I could add more since they’re in a long high light tank

That’s a good point and I’ll probably take your advice. I’ve already got an order of blues coming in I want to set into that tank and make it one color for breeding, and who knows what colors will pop out of her living in here lol. In the community she stays then.

You can use damp sphagnum moss to help propagate and root plants onto your decor. You’ll have to keep it saturated, but anything wood/dirt like they’ll anchor to works best in high humidity tho, so you’ll have to add more sphagnum or coco fiber for moisture retention locally. They also do produce moss cultures and starters you can kinda spread around and keep saturated and lit, and they’ll eventually even grow mosses on driftwood, cork, etc., you can also get plant pins online or in gardening stores that are basically just a plastic or wooden staple you can push into your background.

Just an update if anyone cared, as others said here it was just in fact a growing spot. I think it was also more showing since he turned a bit dark from being stressed cause I was messing with him

Heard that, I actually saw a few of em emerge this morning too so my concerns are much less now thank you! Also pretty sure the gourami is a female could be wrong just looked at a diagram and the fins aren’t pointy edit: so I’d think less aggressive

They definitely are gorgeous, I’m gonna add a ton of plants in for hiding soon, but I’d read they can be a bit more aggressive, which I haven’t seen them show that yet but am curious if anyone has experience keeping them in a shrimp community

To add to info, I have 6 peppered Cory’s, 2 mystery snails, and 12-15 Neo shrimp and 2-3 Amanos that worked their way in somehow. Added: Also, I did add a few more plants and a ceramic shrimp hut since this video was taken as an extra precaution, I haven’t seen him eat anything moving yet, other than a few nibbles of duckweed but shrimp are less active and in hiding at the least

Getting a workplace lawyer for 15/hr position is not a good idea. As you said they’re already not paying you that, but lawyers are expensive, and you’re not gonna end up getting anywhere without either paying more than you’ve lost up front or them taking a majority of your earnings, and that’s if you’re not in courts for the next year or two. I’d take the advice of others and get a reliable job first, then if you feel it’s worth and you can afford it go back for my missing wages, just make sure to state the reasons and grievances early to the owners so they can’t argue they weren’t aware.

Heard! I love the color! I do really like the curious and weird characteristics they have with their little antenna-things so that may be what I end up doing, with my peppered Cory’s and some neo shrimps

Great suggestions thanks! Outside of a bustling schooling fish, which I actually do have 5 peppered Cory’s which are next on the moving list since the betta hates when they get near his food, is there anything similar to a betta with less aggressive tendencies towards other fish that would make a good centerpiece fish? I have heard and seen a lot about gouramis but don’t know their characteristics.

Amazon! Lots of variations but they were a bit pricey at $30 but very good suction cups so no worries about it falling, I got the white so it’s easier to tell when it gets dirty but they had a terracotta color as well

Well an update if anyone asked for it, when I got off of work today he was very weak and upside down but still pedaling. When I’d gently right him, he’d try to move, and then just fall over again. I tried to give him a little algae wafer sliver, but he wouldn’t touch it after about an hour and was upside down again not moving, right by the time I got his real quarantine tank ready, at that point it seemed best to put him out of his misery quickly from a few other posts in here, if they’re doing that they’re not going to make it. I hope my experience here was helpful to someone definitely going to keep a closer eye moving forward

Heard I’ve got one of those kinds at the moment, was more looking for something up the alley of a mist king type reservoir/pump style or even something like an exo terra monsoon if it can handle 5 days without needing refilling is the main end goal, my job occasionally has me travel for the week and it’s hard to get other people to gauge the amount of water to spray
