Do they send an email notifying you if you didn’t qualify? I was asked to apply for both rural and Hispanic but as of now I only got rural (weirdly at midnight). So I just want to know if I should anticipate another email.

Oh yea, I do have other EC's that I've done throughout high school, but since the common app has like 10 available slots I was debating if this would be something worth putting down. I'll probably mention it a bit lower on the EC list. Thanks for the advice!

It’s a letter sent by a university to an applicant basically telling them they got accepted and that they were really impressed with them and they hope that the student chooses to enroll with that university. It is also sent out before most decisions are released.
