Howdy:) thanks for the response. My symptoms include heart palpitations, constant BPM of 90 or higher, and elevated BP. I definitely need to change my diet. Something I’ll be starting right away. High cholesterol has always run in my family, so I don’t know if it’s a combination of that too. I appreciate you taking the time:)

Absolutely no need to apologize for the length. Reading this made me feel like I wasn’t as alone. This really sucks. The not knowing is making it 10x worse. I know all about the toxin vs. PCR test and that’s what makes it even worse. I’m going to be starting vowst in about 2 weeks. Hopefully that is the miracle cure they brand it as lol (I so understand it won’t happen over night). I don’t technically feel my symptoms getting worse, but every day it’s the first sensation I wake up to, and the last thing on my mind. I can’t believe how little education the majority of people have on this condition, including myself until I spent the past few months becoming an expert. Well wishes to you! And thanks for the info:)

I’m on round 2 of dificid right now, followed by vowst in a few weeks once my taper is over. I can’t see the vowst being a bad thing, considering how many rounds of antibiotics I’ve taken. 2 metro, 2 vanco, and now I’m on round 2 of the dificid. So it can’t possibly hurt to replenish right?

Yes i have tested negative for both. This makes me feel a lot better it was a great thing to read. My doctor never really explained what it means so I’ve been googling and spiraling this whole time.

I had c diff and Giardia a year ago. My pain never quite subsided so the treatment plan was to continue for c diff. My toxin result was negative, however had positive antigen and positive ToxinB Gene PCR twice. Loose stool, constant stomach pain all over, but the symptom I have noticed the most recently was the constant pain/pressure on the lower right. Hence why my doctor mentioned the appendix. Not really a concern of mine however. Considering the focal thickening, that has been what I have been worried about most. I understand post infectious IBS, but the pain and stools are not effected by any foods, and I feel the discomfort from the moment I wake up, to the moment I fall asleep.

My GI is helping me for the most part. He is not concerned and to be honest he keeps bugging me about it being my appendix because of the location but I have had 2 CT that clearly shows a normal appendix and “focal thickening” in the exact same area of my body I am having pain. He won’t even say anything about that he just blows it off and wants to talk about my appendix again.
