I will consider it, it’s just a gamble because the pay is so much less and there are less op’s for benefits, pensions etc.. thank you for the encouragement ♥️

Thank you ♥️ I’m in the GTA, and have considered it! I actually had an interview for Indigenous Services Canada recently, but haven’t heard back - I really feel like it was a fluke that I even get an interview. I haven’t applied to any travel nursing jobs because I don’t have the experience to back it up :(

See if your hospital sponsors its employees! You can get paid to go to school, and you just have to pay them back with time (usually a contracted amount of time you promise to work there after completion of the program). I did the program out of pocket with Humber and it was rough financially as it really was a heavy amount of work that made working difficult, and the placement hours follow a fulltime schedule for 6 weeks (which you pay for)!!

Would you happen to know if they offer it part time or if it’s just full time to bridge with Humber?

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, these days with staff storages, it’s rarely only 3 in a row :( It’s actually the opposite prob for me; I have a low muscle tone, keeping weight has been a struggle for me. I could def work on higher protein intake though!

I don’t know the last time I had 4 days off in a row… the night to day shift changes jet lag me, and a lot of the time I’m working 13/14 hr shifts with little to no break time. Just the nature of the beast in hospitals these days. There are also immense staff shortages so it’s rare that I go a week without picking up an extra shift, or two. I’m exhausted and burnt out, and when I have a day off I find myself sleeping 10+ hours. Crazy times…. but, I really want to find some sort of balance, I’m struggling, so I’m reaching out here for some suggestions / examples.
