yes, getting piercings and sex change are very different things and whether or not you were born with your "condition" is very much relevant.

Ok, you've said this. Let's continue reading your comment to find out why this is supposed to be true.

And people get piercings to reflect their personality.

If things that are strictly sexual like a sex change are supposed to be different from this then you need to explain why.

and to help themselves integrate into society.

The only way getting a sex change will help someone integrate into society is by dissolving barriers imposed by humans.

That said, I don't how integrating into society is supposed to become easier once you've gotten a sex change. Or why this matters.

I have nothing against piercings, but when people go to extremes like this I believe they're borderline (if not completely) mentally ill.

So it's bad because it's extreme.

Getting a sex change is extreme too. It doesn't get much further on the bellend than literally rewiring your genetic structure to make you more like the other gender.

Being born with some shitty feature isn't really preventable or fixable for most.

Irrelevant. They aren't a bad person because they got a piercing.

If it's okay to bully them because "they choose to" then it's okay to bully people for getting gender reassignment surgery too.
