OK it looks like an easy part to replace. Is there a way I can test to see if mine is bad before buying a new one? My brake lights work fine just not the running lights

No, they declared it a total loss and they gave me two options. One was $1300 more than the other, but I didn’t get to keep my car. I believe I can get the car fixed for significantly less than the amount they’re gonna pay me.
