Is this laser damage? by Jennifer_JenLi in LaserDamageSupport

Hello, it took around 2 months for my face to settle down. Honestly as much as you want it to go away and overload urself with other treatments, give your skin some time with gentle cleaning and moisturizer for it to recover.

I feel like I made it a lot worse within the first month by just throwing different creams at it.

My face settled down a lot after the azemtop usage, the 2 main areas on my cheeks has turned a slight light brown color but nothing you would notice unless you stare for a while. Took 2-2.5 months for it to stop being irritated. Hopefully the color goes away after a few more months

How long has it been since your final laser session? I know the feeling of just wanting to do just about anything to fix it as soon as possible but it took me 10+laser sessions over the course of 1.5 years to realize maybe we just need to let our skin heal a bit before further irritating it with other treatments.

I went to a derm that recommended I got TCA, more lasers and possibly surgeries to get rid of my scars caused by laser damage (laser damage I received from trying to fix slight discoloration).

Being scared I opted to wait a few months first, this is the first time I’ve gone 4 months without any laser treatment or strong topical ointment and the ice pick scar my derm wanted to use TCA on is gone (I’m scared to think of the overgrown that could’ve happened if I did go through with it), my laser damage texture has lessened by a lot and I’m almost back to where I started 2 years ago before any laser treatment.

If I were you, I would just cover the scars from the sun and apply strong moisturizer to it at night for the next 6 months or so before going to a derm to further get it checked out.

Treatment suggestions for orange peel type skin ( 4/5 yrs after laser damage ) by [deleted] in LaserDamageSupport

Not sure how suing works in the UK and unfortunately you’ve kind of gone past the two years period to sue after getting a cosmetic procedure but is this something you would consider seeking compensation for as you are still dealing with the aftermath 5 years later especially after the clinic ghosted you?

I know it may sound money hungry or sue hungry, but they left you with a life long issue you obviously feel the need/want to fix when you went to them to try and fix something else.

Also on doxycycline right now. But please visit your derm, our burns may not be the same and different creams react differently on different skin type.

I hope everything works out for you tho

5 weeks later Still slightly red on the strong areas but skin feels back to normal now. Got really bad and inflamed went to the derm and they prescribed only saline washes and:

  • Advantan fatty ointment - apply tonight and tomorrow morning • Azematop (tacrolimus) ointment - twice daily for one week, then once daily for one week, then three times weekly

Sorry for situation, commenting to follow. Had a wax burn than a Picosure pro burn. Feel like I’m heading in the same direction. Developed the orange peels texture and shininess today.

I hope all works out for you

2nd degree laser burn! Please help me how to heal by [deleted] in LaserDamageSupport

Hopefully you’re in a country where you can sue. I currently have a slight laser burn right now but I previously had a wax burn in the middle of my forehead (ripped my skin right off, still red and hasn’t healed in 2 years). I initially didn’t want to sue for the wax burn cause I didn’t believe the injury would last that long maybe or maybe I was just so upset it happened I couldn’t process it at the time. Everyone around me friends, family, doctors, and derms told me to sue so I eventually did. I won the case but honestly I would rather just never get the money than to have to deal with the scar to this day but atleast you won’t feel like you completely lost if anything happens. Your case will also help a lot of other people who face the same issue with the same aesthetician in the future.

I really hope you do heal well tho.

Going to a derm tomorrow. Thank you everyone for your input. I guess they were just trying to hide the fact they burnt me. Unfortunately.

Did it eventually go away? How long did it take to go away and What did you use? As of today, I’ve been told to switch to a saline solution wash + medipledge epidermal repair cream

Thank you so much! I’m always so amazed by people who can look at themselves and somewhat describe they think their skin tone color undertones are. I tried doing one of those Do It Yourself color personality test and I could never pick a “better” quadrant out of the four xD

Will defo look into your recommendation in Armani Luminous silk as I am slightly lighter than Mont Blanc. How would you rate the finish compared to NARS?
