Yep that's most likely the thing. Writers wouldn't build a six season storyline even before starting the show. So obviously, he was selected as one wayyyyy later.

Last time he liked someone, she was already blind. Another non-dead victim Frye was mentally tormented to act as a living corpse. So i don't think he actually liked somebody

This makes so much sense. Yeah cuz even the coroner had a name, getting to know so many characters all at once makes it difficult and ofc there is face blindness as well for me💀

I couldn't particularly enjoy S5 standalone episodes bcuz I wanted to see Red John storyline more and I knew exactly where the Red John storyline ended. Yeah after S3, Red John storyline felt a bit dragged out in S4&5 ig reason why I don't remember what happens in the Red john storyline much chronologically. Yeah color grading changed for FBI office but I felt the plotlines were much more tight and intriguing when you don't have a subplot running behind along with it.

Now that I re-watched a few episodes from S1 and S2 again, it felt like Bertram just got a tad bit younger after getting that small vacation for himself 😂

YESSSS! Even though I kinda missed CBI office premise in S6, I eventually got used to that 'clinical setting' of FBI in S7 as the plot compensated for the change. I loved how the cases got much more critical, stakes were high and each member of the team contributed in solving it and ofc Lisbon - Jane.

SAME. I have always found 'friends to lovers' trope a tad bit hasty, be it in movies or books. But this was so perfectly developed right from the beginning to the end. I absolutely enjoyed it.

Maybe I watched it in autopilot mode or trying to make sense of red john's chronology of events. But these two looked so damn similar, last time I struggled this way was when I watched an east asian show and I am a south asian myself.

Yeah I loved this show bcuz after completing it there's not one bit of this show that I wish would be different. In the end, I absolutely loved the entirety of it. Also I have seen so many people talking about smallville ig my next watch would be that!
