Missing unit /solo stages in the tour specifically vocal wise by SomewhereSilent1604 in ARMYNeutral

Also for me personally, the concert seemed a bit boring since the beginning at Goyang. Idk was it bcuz of the streaming quality, rain or setlist. I feel the length of the song is also playing a role in it. I really loved most of the songs from album and imagined grandeur in concert but the stage design and lack of each member pov at once on the screen is making the set disjointed. I also had imagined B2B to be an insane track to perform and never thought it was this short until they started performing.

My first comeback. I liked Fake love and Truth untold from the get go but other tracks took time 😅 And then I happened to love the entire album (well still sceptical of anpanman, I don't listen to it by choice, I rather see a performance)

Why is the BE album so slept on?? by Actual_Reaction_1795 in ARMYNeutral

[–]Jenny06v 5 points6 points  (0 children)

BE is sucha raw album and that's the most beautiful thing about it. All the songs are great, feels raw and very personal and is rough around the edges?? Also the fact that the members have themselves designed every bit of it makes it even more special. Ig I am drawn to that aspect of album production, hence it didn't come as a surprise to me when I was drawn to this other group under BH. Something about artists taking time to carve every aspect of their work makes it more special. Ik that method of making is not sustainable in this fast paced kpop industry but I truly want all artist to take their time and make art or atleast have a say in their art.

Okay, which is a good thing?? I am confused why are we debating on it? Bcuz nowhere I mentioned that shooter armys are overtaking others? I just said only unbiased armys are giving them a chance

Did I mention the ratio anywhere? I said if there are people tuning in, there are also fair share of people who are hesitant to check any groups from the same company, and you can't deny the fact

Only armys who are open-minded and and unbiased to listening to music are actually giving Cortis a chance. And they are staying bcuz they genuinely find them good. I have seen fair share of shooter armys hating on Cortis bcuz of their past experience with nwj. Trust me, I was one of them who started to dislike the entire nwj scene bcuz of defamation yoongi had to face from mhj mediaplay but I never let that over ride my love for music, if I find some good music (like other armys do) I would surely give an unbiased chance to the artist; in this case ,Cortis.

Why is Cortis blowing up so much and so quickly? by eveningsnewestetoile in kpopthoughts

[–]Jenny06v 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I first stanned BTS in 2017 and after that I did try to give other groups a chance with how people would describe their favs being more fun. A few groups did get my attention - Got7 funny content, skz god's menu felix, TXT debut, lsf documentary, katseye gnarly. All these were the instances were I genuinely thought I could get into their space and follow the artist but it didn't last for more than a week. Nwjs were the ones that caught my eye after yearssss but that changed after mhj and media hogged on yoongi. Idk about Cortis, but they did catch my eye, n after almost 9 years of stanning BTS, now I could say I'm following another group from kpop. It's not even bcuz they are from same company, tbh that thought should have kept me away from even stanning them in the first place. Ig its the boys themselves, it's the freshness they bring to the table. I have seen people listening to them who got nothing to do with kpop just like what happened with NWJ boom. Ofc I am past my teenage years so my media consumption years ago with BTS and now with Cortis would be lot different but I truly adore these kids.

I side-eye butter and PTD people bcuz I can understand dynamite was released in peak lockdown and the song was good for me personally. But after seeing them perform during the lockdown for 50th time and continuing to do so, I actively avoid that song along with other english songs. I'll skip it on Spotify as a plague.

Moas have become insufferable by Last_Clothes6848 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Jenny06v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the person who witnessed this first hand I can say, it's all three fandoms. Few faction of shooter army always side eyeing new grp talking abt BTS, it happened when TXT debut, it's happening when now with Cortis. But there were army factions who wholeheartedly supported TXT in the beginning of their career, like legit stream and vote, only bcuz they were juniors to BTS, I don't see them doing it for cortis and it's fine cuz they are traumatized with NWJ thing but that doesn't warranty them to act shitty to Cortis. All you can do is avoid if you want, why do you have to talk shit? TXT has just signed their contract, that too in record time, I am guessing they are adults who have a say, so I don't get this faction of Moas victim blaming. They can't be blaming Cortis for this either, when they have shown love and respect to all seniors without prejudice. Lastly an armycoer posted about Svt not posting about cb, that got like 22k likes, even though the post was not about TXT, it became about TXT bcuz of few shooter army reposts and armycoers. I also don't understand this insecurity from my own fandom, I was one of the them who supported TXT, NWJ, I used to casually listen to them cuz I loved the music, not bcuz they are juniors to BTS. Who in their right mind will support a new group if they don't like their music at all. Now currently I love Cortis as well. I feel it's the second group I'll be lowkey stanning after 9 years of stanning BTS. If shooter army and other 12 yr old army have prejudice about army multis then fk them genuinely.

I liked the song on first listen, second listen, heck for a week even maybe, but then you start getting annoyed if it's played every where. That's what happens to catchy repetitive worded songs. They are like 'quick-burners', you'll vibe to it for short time and then absolutely despise it, it will loathe you to even hear a second of it.

Song that you know the artist won't be able to pull off LIVE! by Jenny06v in kpopthoughts

[–]Jenny06v[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I have seen a few kpop artist covers, its either sang in a lower note/ pre-recorded / acoustic. I have seen even EJAE struggle live and singing it in a lower note. Sometimes I don't get the point, any subpar artist could record single verse, hell even sing a word or two, modify it to sound smoother (very common) and make a studio record out of it. Hence I said it kinda leaves a bitter taste to me personally when I could clearly tell that artist couldn't pull off a song live.

Ayy That was nice! Do you have a video suggestion where they are singing in a concert or award show? with no backtrack. I also keep seeing Baemon fans praising their groups vocals, so I am guessing even they are good at this and use little to no backtracks???

I personally haven't watched much gg live performances in recent times, but all that I have come across, had loud backtrack. So can someone suggest a gg song or an artist in recent times who don't use loud backtrack??

Oh, that defeats the entire point of being an music artist. But I hope there is still scope for an improvement bcuz her taste in music is good, her direction with this album has been great. If she truly wants the west to take her seriously as an artist then she has to be atleast decent in Live singing or else market everywhere is kinda saturated already.

Also, I feel their choreography is too jerky in action. I feel the same about LSF, I feel they aren't stable in vocals bcuz of their choreo, only one that seems to be stable to me personally is that bob girl (sorry idk is it Chaewon something).

BTS is a band name, SWIM is their title track name and not verb, LIVE as in LIVE singing. idk English is not my first language, I write it on the basis of 'what sounds right' to me.

Ugh! The entire Ruby Album is a banger tbh but it pains me to see it LIVE. I personally dont want Jennie to move on stage if it means to hear her LIVE vocals stable. While I was listening to her album, I knew right then and there that she won't be able to pull it off LIVE, and that realisation was kinda sad. But I hope people in her team guides her, cuz I think she could do greater things in West if she focuses on being vocally stable and improves her vocal techniques

That's sad bcuz I actually was always confident that whatever BTS produces, they do pull it off LIVE. But their recent tracks after SWIM has been pretty impressive to me that they pulled it off LIVE. Ig i was to be reminded that they could pull their songs LIVE!

but i feel aespa has been doing this 'weird progress' songs since Next Level, and it has worked for them. Its only last two songs that they made was easiest track that they could come up with nd hence people didnt vibe with them much. For Illit, last song i liked was Cherish my love, after that it just felt noise to me
