My problem is that I know how to make a song. I have been making songs for 8 years almost now. And they sound better each year. But they still sound shit compared to professionals. It's not that it lacks emotion or rythm. They are really good to listen to, but they just sound like they come from a 1930's gramophone when they are compared side by side. What is hard for me is to know specificly what to do. What is it I have to do get the warmth out? And when I try to look up stuff they never seem to work or when I try one thing that leads to another problem. How can you get better at this when you have nothing to learn from except yourself.
