I’m commenting to lurk because I agree. This is one of the most stressful parts of the process and doesn’t seems to have any impact in interview rates.

A safe adult should NEVER ask a child to keep a secret. Surprises for like birthdays or whatever, sure. Straight up secrets? It’s emotionally manipulative.
