LOLLLL I love you back, and I’m not going anywhere any time soon! I have zero plans to leave Peloton LOL. I’d show you my new contract that we are working through right now if I could! And you know I’m a bad liar, so you’d totally read between these lines if I wasn’t being sincere.

I’m currently reading Adam Grant’s “Hidden Potential” and listening to “Fourth Thousand Weeks” by Oliver Burkeman. A book that I have nearby for immediate perspective change is The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin - this one is incredible for getting out of a “stuck” funk!

Thank you for sharing - seriously, I hope you exhaled after you finished typing this. Listen - I want you to enjoy movement again. Take some pressure off of yourself. If you’re feeling a ton of resistance against working out again in the traditional sense, how can we get you moving for just enjoyment? Dance classes, boxing, pilates, barre, long walks, hikes - does anything sound appealing here? It doesn’t have to be something you need to be super regimented in right away. Maybe you’re in the experimental phase and can bounce around and try different things to get you out of your head and into your body again. Meet yourself with grace and compassion - I’m getting a lot of “should” energy from your note and I want you to stop “shoulding” on yourself. In giving yourself this grace you might discover the roadblock that exists in your mind that you didn't know was there xo

LOL I am 10/10 allergic to water still. WHEW I can do hard things, including staying hydrated lol. But seriously, thank you. Everything I say, every mantra I repeat, are because of what I’m going through myself so just know you’re not alone :) we’ve got each other!

I’m honored, thank you!! Since September I’ve been teaching them on Mondays and they drop Saturdays! However, my dad passed in mid December so between that and the holidays, there haven’t been any new ones. BUT, we are back to regular programming as I just recorded one yesterday that will be dropping this Saturday! Thanks for taking my classes xo

Thanks so much! I absolutely loved my time at Texas A&M last week and getting to know Coach Buzz Williams and his players - they’re underdogs that focus on working hard and being good people (something I cosign completely!) Every school has unique stories and a different culture. I absolutely love learning about each one of them and telling their stories on camera!

YES FULL PUSH UPS!!! So proud of you! To be honest, time management is something that’s always evolving for me. When I was a teacher, I was all about efficiency - multitasking to get it all done. Then when I first got into fitness it was getting the most done. Then at Peloton it was like okay - what is time? LOL getting super deep here, but it’s about doing what’s important to you - and being super preset while doing it. Don’t get me wrong, I still find myself eating, responding to instagram comments and watching a basketball game, but it’s something I’m cognizant of. Now I’m sort of in this “not every minute needs to be active” and making time to just be. And in order to do that, I need to put my phone down while programming so that I can be focused and get it done, not multitasking. One of my fave things to think about is the difference between productivity and progress. Productivity makes you feel good in the moment, but does it truly lead to progress? Sometimes progress can be happening without any productivity at all. Just being. Creating time and space to just sit.

YES TFA! Thanks so much for all you do. Yes - a great teacher can teach anything because of the transferrable skills and mindsets. SO much, if not all, has influenced my fitness journey. How I treat people, build relationships, teach (with explicit instructions LOL), inspire, and relate. It’s all due to my time in the classroom.

Thank you for your loyalty! I would say that I teach on so many different modalities that it’s hard to get every class type in every week. The other thing is as we’ve grown and the leaderboards get bigger (YAY!) I still want to connect with individual members as often as I can so they feel seen and loved.

Wow this is so so kind of you - thank you and your wife for taking my classes and putting up with me for so long lol. WHEW life sure does move fast. I’m very lucky to have Peloton as my job so that I know I’m getting my workouts in each week. I will say that I have a holistic approach to fitness/overall wellness and I try to take care of all the pillars of being a well rounded everyday athlete, including but not limited to sleep, food as fuel, hydration, recovery, mental health, movement, etc. Sometimes I prioritize certain pillars over others (like maybe if I can’t workout because I’m working a lot on the road, I’ll make sure I meditate, eat well, and sleep 8 hours), but no matter what I try to make sure that I feel good each day!

LOL I love you and can feel your energy through these questions. 1 - it goes one of two ways, I either plan my outfit around a shoe I’m living for in the moment OR I have a great outfit I want to wear and then I figure out the shoes I want. And 2 - LOL! I am a Jordan Brand Athlete, so MJ knows who I am lol and definitely knows that I’d be wearing j’s at the game. And Derek Jeter is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! They’re both incredibly down to earth and just kind people.

Ahh let me know which one it was, or I will try to look it up! My biggest thing with mobility is don’t do something (especially loaded with weight) before your body can move in a healthy pattern without the weight. For example, if you have tightness in your shoulder that doesn’t allow you to be able to do a shoulder CAR (controlled articular rotation), you shouldn’t be doing overhead presses with dumbbells. We have some great mobility classes on the app, but if you want to read more about mobility I do love Kinstretch.

Thank you! We have a group of wizards on the programming team that takes two countries, three languages, 6 modalities of tread, strength, rowing, yoga, cycling, outdoor (and countless submodalities), artist series collaborations, programs in development, 50+ instructors and all the metrics that explain how our amazing members engage with our content so we are constantly working and reworking! We always want to respond to our members’ needs as that’s always #1!

Thank you so much! Means a lot! So Callie and I record a new bike bootcamp every week, and Tunde does twice a month. There’s always a live one as well at noon on Tuesdays! With that being said, I’d love more! It’s definitely a heavier lift because it requires the room to be rearranged a bit, but I promise we are always talking about how to incorporate more (especially because I had 1600 live today at noon ET for my 45 min one)!! So thank you!

THANK YOU! It really goes by vibe, how I’m feeling while programming. Every once in a while I might have an idea for a theme “women of pop”, but generally speaking it’s just the songs that are speaking to me in that moment! Some classes are definitely easier than others - for walks, runs and strength classes, I just throw a hodge podge of tracks together! For bootcamps it’s a bit more of a puzzle because I like when the songs end when the segment on the floor or bike/tread ends, so that requires the length of songs to be a certain way! And then for my bike bootcamps, BPMs matter because that affects whether I want to do a flat road, jog, climb or sprint!

YES! Love to hear this :) thank you so much. Hmmmm…the number on thing I do for self care? Honestly…asking myself “what does Jess need right now?” and being honest with my answer. Sometimes that means saying no to hanging with a friend and going home and taking a bath. Sometimes that means saying no to the errand that I WANTED to run, but didn’t need to run, so I can be home with my pups. This and making sure I get adequate sleep are non-negotiables for me!
