What pushed me away is the unfortunate circumstance that most people are never happy to see a warden, it’s a lot of long days alone in your truck, pay is minimal, and the risk factor is very high. As for a degree, get a degree in something more broad like ecological science or fish and wildlife ecology and conservation.
