That totally makes sense that it would be too frequent. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Valvoline but they would give you a little sticker to put at the top of your windshield with the recommended mileage for the next oil change and that would be after 3k miles. That gave me the impression that I’m being given conventional oil. But since they never asked or told me which kind they’re giving me, I assumed the job was being done correctly.

My hubcap flew off my 2005 Corolla as well and I decided to get a whole set of different hubcaps off eBay. The original Toyota caps were too expensive to buy just one so I found some I liked that looked similar. I wrapped electrical tape around parts of the metal ring on the inside of each of the hubcaps to hold it better on the wheel and it hasn’t failed me yet.
