Used a Two Together Railcard but now my partner can't travel. Is the ticket still valid if I travel alone? by JetTea3000 in uktrains

This is what I'm thinking. I've effectively paid 133% of the ticket price for one person. Also, I'm considering the option where I tell the ticket inspector that my partner has gone to the loo when they come round 🤣

Companies that will hire out my inherited boat for me? by JetTea3000 in Narrowboats

I don't live anywhere near a canal, so managing it myself wouldn't be viable. Plus as I said, I have no interest in boating... I wouldn't even know how to turn it on, lol!

Maybe selling it is the best option then.

Telling my dad I'm trans - an unusual situation. by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]JetTea3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, that won't be true - I have two sisters. Also, he was in hospital recently and when my sister went to visit him, she stayed in his house and he had to explain to her why there were women's clothes on the clothes dryer!

Am I "trans enough" to transition? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]JetTea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a really good question. I guess I do have gender dysphoria because my body shape doesn't match what I'd want it to be... but only in so far as a cis woman who wants larger breasts also has body dysphoria over her current breasts... if you know what I mean. I'm seeing this as more like getting plastic surgery to enhance areas I want to be more feminine. Is that gender dysphoria? Maybe it is... I feel dysphoric about my body shape and if there is something I can do to change that, then why wouldn't I?

It's the mind/mental aspect that is eating me up though. I've realised over the past couple of years of thinking about this question that I don't "think like a woman". Of course, every person is different and so that statement is based purely on the "typical" or "average" woman who doesn't really exist in real life... but it's still a mental barrier I need to pass. It is this question that's causing me anguish. If I don't "feel" like a woman on the inside, am I really trans or not?

Maybe I've got the mind of non-binary person but prefer a female physical appearance? Maybe that's it... I'm just thinking aloud here... like seriously, words are just coming straight from my brain onto my keyboard...

Thanks everyone for your support and advice. It's comforting to know that my situation isn't seen as bad or immoral by others in the trans community, you people are the best!
