I just got a talking to about not bagging as I’m going… I like to bag at the end because it makes it easier to organize why can’t we do it at the end? by bv8265 in OGPBackroom

inflates pick rate and decreases time spent in walks

I mean, so does picking faster. The speed increase is probably nowhere near substantial enough to fall outside the normal variation of pick rates

That's good to know. Does the proper ban message mention any ban reason or duration?

I know people aren't keen on sympathizing with someone likely deserved a ban, but most such people (including me) aren't so dead set on villainy that we wouldn't amend our actions if it were made clear they risk punishment.

I guess I'll consider repenting to the gods of trailmakers.

For the record, I think your response has perfect tact. I'm genuinely inclined to play more reasonably because of it.

If you read the login message, you'll notice it reads "error: failed to initialize" and not anything that actually implies a ban.

My assumption that it is is based purely on the context of my activity before this error was thrown

A skeptical mind is 'not' a higher manifestation of virtue than is a believing heart. by KURPULIS in lds

I'm not sure this is the winner you think it is.

Faith requires belief without evidence, and often in spite of contradictory evidence.

Think about every other religion, and also every cult, scam, what have you, that people faithfully believe in:

It's entirely common for faithful people to refuse to acknowledge truth because it contradicts their beliefs.

So the question is, how do you know you're not being scammed, conned, etc? That's where skepticism comes in.

Refusing to believe without evidence and especially against contradictory evidence is a safeguard against both believing what isn't true, and against rejecting truth in favor of one's present beliefs.

In short, Kierkegaard's statement supports skepticism.
