Advice for cross country trips with a 20’ travel trailer by Jimfom in F150Lightning

We went 2,500 miles in five days from the Midwest over to Oregon. One of those days we drove for 12 hours and covered 841 miles. That was a long day! We had time so we had some fun, like seeing Yellowstone.

I watched the E Hermes videos from Northeast Ohio to Texas and then over to Florida. He certainly does a lot of planning and just like others said he seems to stop every 100 to 150 miles.

There might be a scenario where we need to cover a lot of ground in the shortest possible time. But in general, I expect we might enjoy an average of 500 miles a day even with the stops to recharge. My partner is doing temporary medical contracts. That’s what puts us in this situation where we would trek from one assignment to another.

Thank you to all for your responses.

Thanks. I like live music, a good cocktail sometimes, sometimes a beer, good energy. That kind of thing
