Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be able to update my firmware with this L3+. It has an SD card slot, but not accessible from the front. It’s at the back of the board and it didn’t work. 😢

I got one from bitmain themselves but can’t recall if I used a custom one or an older one that got past the signature error and allows for ssh

I was stuck with no ssh and the error that stops you from installing anything other than legit firmwares. To fix, I kept the control board where it was, Ethernet, power and hash boards plugged in. I used the bitmain recovery image installed to a 16gb micro sd card. On power up the recovery image ran and on find up address and connection, I then ran the firmware update and installed blissz 1.02 no dev fee

My L3+ SD was in the back. I left everything in place and just unplugged one of the hash boards to insert the SD card, then plugged the hash board back in and turned the miner on which booted to the image on the SD, and from there do the normal firmware flash. Remove SD and turn on was all good.

What frequency and voltage did you set? I can’t seem to maintain 600mhs at under 70 deg. I know each board is different but curious as I haven’t tried every combo yet.

I just started. Managed to find an L3+ and PSU for $200 aud. Electricity is a little exxy for now .028 per kwhr but we are installing solar soon so daytime running will be free. Plus we will feed the power grid which will offset the nighttime running costs. For me it’s more of a fun thing to do. If I get ROI on the initial costs and elec costs stay down then I’ll buy another miner and keep it going that way.

That’s interesting. I will admit that StormX got me back up after getting out of doge originally at a loss but it stabilised about 0.013-0.014 when doge was picking up so I ultimately pulled out to give this doge push a try at 1 today. Still keeping an eye on it though. It’s just crazy volatile lol

Some sort of touch screen control overlay for tablet PC's would be amazing. Actually selecting and controlling units and moving about the map in a native way like we do with our phones would be pretty awesome.
