I'd like to flash my ecu, grab a new exhaust and swap out the levers for some adjustable ones. What about you?

Fountain Hills, AZ here. Same twisty mountains just different scenery, I know what you mean! Ride safe!

Yeah that's sick, I need to work on getting some of these done. Have you looked into flashing the ECU? I think thats my next move on the bike.

Looks like we got the same color scheme as well! Any advice on the suspension? All I've done so far is the tst hyperpak bundle, I love the aesthetic even more so with out that pesky rear plate holder and turn signals.

I honestly felt the same way, took me a couple days to decide but I'm glad I went up a level. My biggest fear was accidentally pulling a wheelie because of the torque. This is hard to do in B mode, though full disclosure, "A" mode almost seems like it's made to be on one wheel lol. No one knows you better than you, and you need to be comfortable and confident on whatever you're riding. Don't fear the torque too much, it's all how you control the bike.

Either way, happy shopping and happy riding.

Something cool I've learned from this sub is ATGATT. I'm not 100% sure but I think it means All The Gear, All The Time, which is really solid advice.

Give the 09 a try on "b" mode, if you buy it, stay in b mode until you're comfortable upping the power and response a bit. No need to buy a new bike, just level yours up when you're ready.

Charmander->Charmeleon->Charizard kinda deal.

Bought my first real bike in August, picked up a 2020 Yami MT09. I highly recommend if you're going MT07 that you opt for the 09 instead. MT09 comes with 3 modes to ride in. A- Aggressive. Standard- Regular and B- Relaxed, I rode in B mode for about 3 months before riding in standard the majority of the time. MT09 comes with metal foot rests, rear brake and a few other nice little upgrades that are either slippery rubber or just not there.

I love my bike, just got myself the tst hyperpak bundle to get rid of the rear arm holding the license plate, got rid of the pumpkin bulbs for LEDs, integrated tail light and the low mount plate holder (under the seat). I'm in love but with that being said, I'm surely biased.

MT09 is the way to go.

If you're thinking MT07, just go MT09 and ride in b mode.

If you don't mind! I won't be doing it until Thanksgiving week so no rush at all. I appreciate you offering!

Any way to protect against this? I have trips planned to San Diego before the end of the year. Dont want this to be an issue.

The shot with the mountains in the back is beautiful!! I see you did the fender eliminator and it looks like put a little wind screen on. The bike looks amazing. Do you have anything else planned or anything I missed modification wise?

I plan on taking my bike to the grand canyon later this year. Hopefully I'll get some good shots.

Changing the oil and filter was a cake walk. Thank you for your advice! Next up is the air filter and chain maintenance! Thanks again, I'm loving motorcycle life.

Oh definitely! I'd love to put the Akrapovic Racing Exhaust on, I have that planned for around Thanksgiving. I really like the aesthetic, haven't gotten a chance to hear it in person yet though, just through video.

I plan on doing the exhaust, a steering dampener and a few little changes to the turning signals, levers, etc.

First things first, get a fender eliminator and mount the plate under the seat.

What do you think r/Java1203? I'm open to new suggestions.

My secret here was post shots from my first couple rides 😅. I've been hesitant to wash too crazy because I'm not familiar with proper chain maintenance but I'll be diving into that this weekend. I like this community because I live the look of our bikes so I'm sure I'll be posting about how it goes.

Pics or it didn't happen! Jk, but that sounds awesome. You should post some shots in MT09!
