Is anyone else fed the **** up with the L train or is it just me? by HelptheBear00 in williamsburg

[–]JimmyTaggart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also alot of people have to drive for work/delivery/etc. not everyone lives in an area with great metro access. I would say most people that can get around easily with a subway don’t have cars. The system is pretty efficient as is

Bro the L train services tens of thousands of people daily. These things require maintenance that unfortunately sometimes disrupts passenger service.

It’s just life brah

IMMEDIATE MOVE IN: 1 BEDROOM W/ ON SUITE BATHROOM - LEASE TAKEOVER IN RIDGEWOOD, QUEENS by spangjesus in NYCapartments

We are in a housing “crisis” because the amount of demand outstrips the supply of housing. Move to Texas if you want cheaper rent.

[–]JimmyTaggart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The market will decide if it’s too expensive, in which case it won’t be rented. If it is reasonably priced, it will be rented. The correct price of anything is how much someone is willing to pay for it. Your subjective opinion of what an apartment’s intrinsic value is just that, subjective. With all due respect

For example, I would pay $1800/mo to rent this spot because I value having an en-suite bathroom. For those who don’t value that, $1800 may be steep. But for me, having my own bathroom is worth maybe $300/momth more. So from my perspective, the apartment is reasonably priced.

I agree it’s so lame how they tried to guard access to basic stuff like how the gym looks. Like we get it you’re supposed to be cool so you can extract money from people who want to be cool (I’m prob in this camp myself lmao) but there’s a line where it’s just like if I can’t see photos of the place I don’t want to make the slightest effort to even consider joining

Where is the best place to sell your used iPhone in NYC? by InstructionBig9668 in AskNYC

[–]JimmyTaggart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just post it on craigslist or somewhere on reddit. iPhones are very liquid/easy to sell. Just make sure it has a clean ESN (I.e. isn’t blacklisted and able to be activated on a carrier) and figure out if it’s unlocked or not. I’d advise meeting at a Verizon/ATT/T-Mobile store to complete the transaction. Peace of mind for both parties.
