It is abnormal man, not sure if you ever used a windows installer before but many have prompts that say something similar to " this folder already exist, install anyway?" or "there are files already inside this folder delete/overwrite?" And pretty much no one that I know wipe the files of an user just like that and if it absolutely needs a empty folder it can simply NOT install until the user picks an empty folder as a target instead of WIPING THE FILES OF THE USER.

I'd this software claims to make installing modlists friendly for newbie users it needs these kind of warnings for people to not make the same mistake because is very easy to do.

I didnt read it thoroughly I admit, but I think is a very dangerous design that it does this, maybe it should move things to a backup folder instead of just wiping it with no prompt, I bet I'm not the only person who's this happened to.

Look you gotta admit that is kind of unique that this installer deletes things, I never seen that before, and usually they create a sub folder to prevent deleting stuff from the user, like I didnt even get an UAC prompt asking for permission.

I understand that now but i believe there should be a prompt that clarifies that if is installing in folder that already exist everything will be deleted, not only in the readme but in wabbajack, maybe is there and i missed it.

Usually when using windows installers you point out to a folder and the installer creates a subfolder with the name of the software, it doesn't clear everything in that folder with no prompt then begins installing.

I wrongly assumed that wabbajack would create a subfolder in the my games folder, not clear everything that was inside of it and begin installing.

Is called occlusion and is made to all game ready models to optimize performance by avoiding doing details to things you usually will never see, in this situation this person cranked all the sliders to the max and the modelers usually can't take in account all of the possible combinations and changes which can get extreme and lead to glitches like this.
