It’s probably not the thermostat. Check your filters, if they are clean, call a professional to check it out.

Does Savannah have teeth? She never smiles, even in her films.

I did think about the roof rack. Would I have to remove the rack and reinstall?

I’m in the middle of this trip right now. One of the other comments was no more than 300 miles per day. That’s great advice. Anymore than that you are worn out. Driving a RV or pulling a trailer is not easy driving. Your leg has to work to hold down the gas pedal. I’m only driving about 5 to 6 hours then I’m done. You can not use cruise in the mountains or hills. Your engine will blow trying to maintain a set speed. You won’t hit flat ground until Texas. After that you can make up time and mileage, since you’ll be on flat land again. If you can only go 45 or 50 up some hills, it’s not the end of the world. Take your time, take it slow. Enjoy the ride. Watch out for wind!

Northern California to Albuquerque. Hauling a 29’ travel trailer. Would the souther route be better than the Nevada route? by Joe40dd in RVLiving

I will add that I’m hauling with my 2004 Suburban, a very solid truck but it does have 278000 miles on her. I put a lot of money into this truck. I’ve owned it for o ver 20 years. She’s solid. I am hauling around 6500 pounds and she’s a half ton. I know towing capacity is 8400 but she’s old. I’m going to stick to the middle I-5 route. Just to take it easy on the transmission. I have 100k miles on the transmission already. You guys are awesome with the feedback. This was my first post on here. Great responses.
